possible to fit a 360 in the bottom of an 800d

so i was thinking if i could fit my existing 360 in the bottom it would give me an excuse to buy a 480 for the top. My existing 360 is 15.62" tall. the power supply im looking at is just over 6" and given that the case is 24" long

here is a quick paint sketch

I know i would have to take out the hard drive cage, but i think with a short PSU and my 360 isnt that tall it might work.

    thoughts?

Yeah, I would thinks so. I have a 700d and I have my MCR320 in the bottom. But, it also depends on how long your PSU is too.

You could always move the psu up to the area the hot swap drives are located in. If I remember correctly someone on here did that in one of their 800d builds and it looked really good.

unfourtunetly i have 6 hard drives so i really need that hot swap bay area, and having that is actually nice for my RAID5 array in case a drive ever fails.

i guess the other question is do i really need a 360 + 480 lol.

did u cut vents on the otherside so the fans can draw in cool air from the outside of the case or no?

There are filtered vents in the bottom of the case and I have the 140mm fan on the right (for the hdds) blowing down into it, plus the spot for the 140mm fan that is empty. It offers plenty of air i think. I have pretty good temps so i am happy.

Oh, to remove the HDD bay down there all I did was drill through some rivets with my cordless screwdriver. Took about 10 mins as some rivets were at a difficult angle.

Another easy and relatively cheap solution Blindsay is a Lian Li Power Supply Extender. It is usually about $15 and you can find it at many computer enthusiast shops.
