    Thanks guys!

Mr Don Dan - Vnb=cpuvtt? @ ~-100C evap temp - running cpuvtt at 1.6v to get 4400 up to 4600 uncore
Regarding memory - I'm using corsair 3x2GB 2kc7 - works great - can take huge volts!
Max mem oc is about the same as what eva2000 measured with his set - ~2150-2200 @ 7-7-6 88 1T - my dramv is at ~1.88v (don't remember eva's volts).

600MHz is easy with this board, I was able to hit 621MHz as well, but than it got harder, I'll have to look into it some more when I have more time. This board is great, I'm sure you'll love it!

Did you test your memory as well?
HI, i was first testing the board for FSB, i didn't even push to the FSB max, i will try that later...

    Great Runs @ NAmeGT

Sweet, i know l0ud_sil3nc3 and he's a great guy, he's gonna bring a lot to the team,

wahoooo good to see you here l0ud_sil3nc3

On the e6400, i wanted to play but i like points, so i found a chip that can score pretty big and still learn the REX... so that is why i went with the e6400
and it looks like it went good, no where near the top 10 but got some pretty good pointage..... And i look at my posts and i was runing that ram at 2T whats up with that, got to chance it to 1T

    HELP!
    Big Question....
I have a tinyXP load... oh so sweet...

so far i ahve been using ASUS AI Suite for my in OS tweaking
but in TinyXP it loads and when i go to touch it it dissapears.

So for now all my tweaking has been in bios
    except for memory

I know i can get more out of this chip with some in OS tweaking

so what should i be using for changing FSB and Voltage...

if you say SetFsb the nwhat chip do i set that for?

time to let the SS rest till tonight but I want to make it faster tonight!
so any help would be appriciated!

    thanks for any help....

There might be another program to use or a way to fix the Asus program but I was looking around and found a list of PLLs for different mobos. I think this one should work for you.

I would love to find out from someone that really worked a rampage extreme as to what they used...

    and how they did it...

i'll try setfsb tonight, but i also need a program that lets me adjust voltages....

i would hate to have to tweak out of bios all the time, seems so stoneage

    anyone?

guesss gigabutt spoiled me with easytune, it worked everywhere...

SetFSB and MemSet is all you need, I'd do all the voltage tweaking in the BIOS.
The PLLs Daniel posted should work, I used ICS9LPRS926EGLF or ICS9LPRS918JKLF on my board.

Can't you boot at max voltages or is the chip not liking it?
ET6 is too heavy for a nice 2D XP anyway.

Can't you boot at max voltages
not sure what that means, like with the e6400 i boot at 556fsb at 1.72v any more voltage is a waste to boot because it doesn't need it...
in fact i can prob boot at 1.6v no problem

I'm used to raising voltage as i raise the cpu speeds in the OS..

max voltage is over 2v, not sure i want to boot at that???

EDIT, ET6 worked sweet for the gig board, don't think i lost much using it and
it just makes tweaking so much easier doing it in the booted OS...
I found wit hthe UD3P that if i had to use the bios to get my overclocks, i would be nowhere

tweaking in the OS always gave me more then bios tweaking from what i have done..

wish i had something like that for the REX....
my R3E has a sweet one from asus, wish i had that tooo

So for that E6400 for example you'd boot at 1.72v, change freq. higher in OS and not worry about upping voltages because you're already at the max that your chip will SCALE at.
Definitely LOVE ROG Connect for overclocking on the R3E too bad there isn't a BIOS update to allow it to work with the REX too.

Did the reign of Wolfdale end today? In 01 I mean.
Seems like you don't need a E8600 @ 6.6GHz anymore, the hunt for ~6.8GHz Gulftowns is on.

    Check it out!

Yeah if you can find a gulftown that good its going to rock in 01... but how does a 5.7ghz 980x compare to a 6.2ghz E86?

With the same VGA @ the same clocks, the C2D will be better of course due to the better Nature score.

My 980x isn't going to do anything near 6.8ghz so I think I'd rather try my luck with E8600s anyway.

I can't help it, I'm not impressed at all. I would be if Kingpin or hipro or even youngpro did that, but not him.

Nothing wrong with James imho, I like how he's pushing the boundaries, and I like seeing his in-depth tweaking threads a lot more than the many brute-force runs we're seeing today. He made some mistakes in the past, but who didn't?

I understand what you're saying about Andre, but still, it's a huge number. And it's not like he's Coolaler, OPB or Tapakah...

MG silicon is fine, nailpolish will start to have issues at DI temps.
