No, you can't change it and you wouldn't want to anyway.

When a unit is promoted to "high priority" it's because it's gotten very close to it's due date, either because it's been in your cache for too long or more likely because WCG sent it out as a "repair" unit (which means someone else didn't get around to completing it in time). The unit that got suspended to make way will pick up after the urgent one is done.

Can anyone help me configure WCG and GPUGrid on the same machine?

    Phenom 2 965 @ 3.60GHz NB @ 2.4GB
2GB @ DDR1450 6-6-6-18 Ganged (I have my reasons for not running unganged)
    GeForce GTX260 216/55nm @ stock

Questions include how much CPU usage should I give GPUGrid on their site? Do I need to change any WCG preferences?

It makes no difference what you set CPU usage preference on GPUGrid, it uses what it needs to support the GPU. If you are runing fermi then there is an environmental variable you can set to let it use a full CPU thread in conjunction with the GPU to get the best runtimes possible but again, this is not controlled by the CPU percentage ppreference on the website. None of this matters with 2xx based cards ... they only need/ use a very small perecnt of your CPU no matter what you set anything to.

Without having tried it on windows, I'd have to say: it'd have to be possible and should be quite easy.

roki ... WCG does not use any GPU, have you tried attaching to GPUGrid?
GPUGrid is entirely different project but manyu of us crunch both WCG and GPUGrid ...
We have a subforum here on XS for GPUGrid ... stop by and ask away if you are interested

I am not crunching with GPU . I had milkyway attached before with 5870 a maybe its because of it. Simply when i put gtx470 instead 5870 WCG wont run. BIONIC is runing but nothing is happening when i add WCG. It wont start crunching.

    sry for my bad english.

I will try again and write exacty what happened but everytime i try am losing time . Thx .

There is something confusing with DC Stats: daily score is not equal to the sum of results of each of machines. For example yesterday it reported ("Last 28 days" table) 7334 points but the sum of points from all my machines is only 5928 (according to "Hosts" table).

    Why is that?

    WCG uptime

Have a question about the uptime stated under 'My statistics history' at WCG. I'm running one x4 rig 24/7, but rarely does the uptime equal 4 days. Sometimes it reaches 4:06 or 4:07, other days it will stop at 3:12 or 3:14.

Is this just the way it is or is it something I should look into and try to fix?

Running Ubuntu 10.4, haven't noticed any down time when I've checked the computer itself.

You're good. The daily runtime is based on the WUs that get validated in the day so depending on when you wingmen crunchers return their results you are seeing a little variability which is perfectly normal.

Is it normal that FAAH wu's validate very quickly? I have been running single projects lately and now that I'm doing FAAH I see that they get validated within one day. On boincstats I was seeing 3-4k per day, but the last 2 day it was 5k+. Not complaining at all. But that seems a little high for an i7-860 @ 3.3GHz.
I'm sure this will even out when I'm running FAAH a little longer. Just curious if other have seen this too.

FAAH often has a quorum of one. THe units have proven so reliable that multi-system quorums (quora? quori?) are no longer necessary. They sometimes pull a unit aside for checking but if it doesn't error out, it's more than likely good.

The extra check on a second machine is done on average 20% of the time for ZR (zero redundancy) type WUs.

That depends on if you're doing it for just one machine or a whole fleet.
For just one you can either open the BOINC manager and click through: Advanced > Preferences > Network Usage (tab) and then enter the Additional Work Buffer length in days

    OR

Go to the WCG website and click through My Grid > Device Manager (it's in the left hand column) > Pick the device profile you want to play with > scroll down to Workunit Cache Settings and put what you want in there.

If you have a bunch of machines and you don't change the individual settings on any of them, then you want to use the second method.

Thanks D A, first one worked fine but the second one I could'nt find the Workunit Cache settings. Have no device profiles other than default so maybee I need to make one for each machine?

Nope, just change the default profile to "custom settings" (the last option in the list of radio buttons) and you can play with most of the settings.

You only get four different profiles (Default, Home, Work and School), but you can have as many machines as you want on each of them.
