chew* I want to ship out my 8600gt for a vmod tomorrow. I really want to grasp the basics of vmodding though! I've been reading around at overclock.net about it; I understand the vgpu measure/mem & actually modding the resistors... But what about the caps etc.. what do they do?

-Maybe you could write up a guide using my card, or maybe a video feed would help me and the community out! I thought I would ask

Are you 100% sure it died? My R3E (not retail, press ES) "died" two times already - flashed CPU Init on RC Poster and spinned fans for a second. I left it for a few hours without CMOS battery and it suddenly came back to life.

Couldn't get my i5 670 past 4.3ghz with the settings I tried today but was able to play with Sandra a little and grabbed a silver medal....

The others don't have the efficiency so I think I can beat gold@4.45ghz or so.

He's now beat him in all of the 2D benchmarks with the Q9650 except for PCMark 05!
Even more impressive IMO is that he's running either on H2O or DICE while the competition is going with LN2!

Thanks, I was wanting to get the gold for wprime 1024 also but only got around to doing one run which came up 0.5s short at 5053. Im pretty sure theres a better time in it at that speed just going to have to wait till next time, and if any of you have any tips/suggestions for wprime Id like to hear them.

Could you run PCMark 05 with the SSD drive and see if you can grab some points there?

Can't wait for my 39L dewar..... 15L is actually very expensive to fill up thats why I've been waiting...
Planning on filling 55L next week if everything works out.
Just see if you can get Hicookie to sell me his 670 and I'll see what I can do.
I highly doubt this random i5 670 I picked up will do a WR but I'm hoping for AT LEAST 6.3ghz+ pifast and superpi1M or more.
