Try putting cores 0-1-3 @ -2% in ACC, then Core 2 @ +0%. And use hybrid ACC.
Try this..My 550 would be unstable if i did not ADD NBvid to 1.32v for up to 2600nb...
Set BIOS like this...F9 and F10A make shure it looks like this and then set the NBvid to 1.32v-1.35v for any NB up to about 2800nb .. ADD more NBvid if going above 2800...550's seem to max around 2800nb with High CPU clocks because of the IMC.
F!0A...SET the NBVID@1.32v for starters and SB and NBchip set to 1.3v for 24/7.
This will set -2 for all cores in Auto... Make shure Both Hybrid and Cores are Auto..If not the Bios can make the Unlock reset or the CPU unstable.
Note: You can try giving that Core More Volts buy using 0 or +2... Auto Usually works the Best for Unlocking ..Ive pushed all three Chips to 4000mhz on X4cores with the 720 being the weakest with only 2400nb. This Mobo needs 1.32vNBvid for Stock to2600NB while using 720/550 and yes even 555 to remain Stable while using DDR2 ... The DDR2 IMC is weaker than the DDR3 IMC on Most of these CHips.
Default NBvid for any of those three chips on this Mobo and XT-UD4P is @1.17volts on NBvid...
That is too low when Clocking CPU even sometime @ Stock CPU Multi's...Ive tested Many 550/555 on this Mobo and that is what ive found.
Stock NBvid has never set 1.2v on This Mobo ,which in return is needed for those chips and More if the NB is above 2400mhz while unlocked.
Have fun,,

I have a 790FXTA-UD4...
And I just installed a 1090T on it.
Now maybe I installed it wrong, because when I start the system, the screen just stay with the welcome gigabyte screen...
It doesn't do anything else. I can't go in the bios...
What's up? Thanks
YEAH... except I ain't got one.
Can I update the bios with an USB key?
Or a floppy disk?
Or do I really need another CPU?
EDIT : Now this pisses me off. Every single freaking time I change something in the bios, it just freezes. And I have to restart... And it reboots and reboots and reboots. Every time after I have to remove the video card to clear CMOS.
This whole thing makes me sick. I can't take it anymore! I want it to work!

Can't you just put a screw driver near the cmos battery jumpers? Oh wait, my 8800GT is in the bottom slot. Nope, my mobo wouldn't even let me get into BIOS, piece of crap. It just kept freezing at the Gigabyte logo.
Yeah now it just won't go in the bios no more.
I'm pissed. I need to find a freaking Am2-Am3 cpu...I don't think anyone I know has one.
I'll have to go to the computer repair shop and they gonna charge me the motherload.![]()
I'm sure your mobo isn't dead, it's just not compatible with the Thuban right now without a BIOS update.
It aint dead
Set up a USB Stick with the Newest BIos..
Make shure the Stick is Plugged in before turning on PC...
When you boot Press F9(For Boot ORDER) instead of going into Bios...
Make shure its set to Boot USB HDD..
Once you Press this Option It should Auto Flash the Mobo ..
When done Reboot &Clear CMOS.. You should then be good to go...
I have done this a few times when a Agesa update was needed" using Unsupported Bioses".
You can usually do this if you are able to See a Bios Menu.
Sometimes it works sometimes it dont..
Pretty Shure its F9 for boot menu. Do it as fast as you can .You only have about the same time it takes for the Bios to freeze ..It can be done.
Or borrow a friends X2 or X4 CPU
Wait go to Fry's and test a new PHII X2 or AthlonXII Or Sempron. Then you have a Back up chip. You only Need a Cheap one to do it.

It eithers freeze, or reboot. It ain't working.
I'm gonna go cry now.

Hi,
Today I also updated my CPU, X6 1055T (batch 1014EPAW) and flashed F8c BIOS for the 790XT-UD4P. I do not have that wait period during POST (it boots fast just like my previous AII X4 620) but it's strange that the default core for CPU is 1.475V in BIOS.
So, I didn't touch VCore at all, just put NB and HTT Vcore@1.2V. I raised the bus to 250MHz (for a 14x250=3500MHz) and memory to DDR3-1667 CAS7. (disabled C1E, C&Q and Turbo)
I'm using win7 32bit (have some devices without proper 64bit drivers) and the system runs fine. Coretemp 0.99.6 and CPU-Z detect 1.425V as a CPU Vcore but C1E is definitely not disabled cause CPU is changing it's clocks all the time. So I guess next BIOS releases will probably deal with that power management more successful.
Temperatures are fine with this setup, 29C idle, 41C load.(Crysis)
System:
Phenom II x6 1055T@3500MHz NB@2500MHz 1.475V (not 100% sure)
2X2GB Geil DDR3-2133@1.65V 1667 CAS7
Xigmatek Thor's Hammer with XL1253@1500rpm
GA-790XT-UD4P F8c
MSI GTX 470
X-Fi XMusic PCI
2X SiliconPower 32GB SSD
Corsair TX850W
Xigmatek Midgard with NZXT SentryLX + 5 XL1253 fans@1000rpm
Update : I tried to flash... It started flashing... saying firmware update, don't reset or close your computer...
Then it rebooted by itself without any kind of message... when it rebooted it said it was still on the previous bios...
Did it crash before finishing the update?
Its still not dead...
It may be setting too high of voltage to keep stable during the Flash..
try Clear CMOS and see if you can Flash One more time...
The Back up Bios can not be written too ( To Protect against Bad Flashes)so you wont ruin it...If the Main flash goes bad..
Worst Case , Buy one of these or x2 or X4 to flash it.
Having a spare Chip is Priceless. $33 dollars Sempron AM3/AM2 45nm..2700mhz..

I have an ma790xt-ud4p, and just flashed it to f8c before pulling my 965be c3.
Just to clarify, the core temps are reading 10-12 low?
Can we disable turbo with this bios?
@richierich (or others with the same stepping), how did you make out with your 1013cpcw stepping 1055T? I picked one up, just trying to learn if it's a decent stepping before I decide to a) install it now, b) install it Monday when my seasonic md12, 3X120 rad and Swiftech XT arrive, or c) since it's unopened, try for a better stepping.
Thanks all
Edit: I meant to add, anyone else still having keyboard probs in bios screen? I'll try the usb port closest to the ps/2 keyboard socket, and fall back to an old ps/2 if I can did one up. Sure is annoying, seems like it works about 10 percent of the time.

Hey Grinder I haven't really gotten a chance to push the 1013CPCW since it's just in a 2ndary build (was supposed to be only a budget file server, there goes that idea, lol) with a weak mobo + integrated graphics.
Yeah, that's what I figured. I know stepping isn't a hard and fast rule, and there is limited data yet, but I thought I'd ask just the same. I did get the impression that that particular stepping wanted a little more volts at a given speed, but I've only found a handful of references to them.
What about the 790XT, are you oc'ing with turbo on your primary build? I'll be interested in a comparison if you are upgrading the mobo (thought I read that somewhere lol, but I'm still on my first cup of coffee)
Anyway, thanks for the quick response. Must be kind of early for you in CA. It's early for me for a Sat, and I'm on Atlantic Daylight time lol.

I had that keyboard issue often when I build this MA790XT-UD4P system almost a year ago with BIOS F4 but since then and now with F8c it worked without problems. I'm plugging my Sidewinder X6 in a USB port below green PS/2 (near coaxial s/pdif) not purple. See if that helps you.
I also have the keyboard issue from time to time on my 790X-UD4P. I find it happens more when I have AHCI enabled. When in IDE mode, I don't ever have a problem. Sometimes it gets really bad and just basically never works after a bunch of restarts trying to get into BIOS. Worst case scenario, I have to fall back on a PS/2 keyboard. Really annoying.
I'll give that a try, thanks. That started happening after I did some high HTref runs, around 350. But I think I flashed F6 around the same time, so I'm not sure which it is.
I still have the 1055t sitting here in the box.I'm trying to decide whether to give it a run with my old swiftech socket A waterblock and homemade bracket
Or just wait two days for the XT, larger rad and ps, since I plan to make some changes to my loop then anyways. By then I might know more about the 1013cpcw, but it's getting awful tempting to open the box. Problem is I have a lot of stuff to do around the house too.
Edit: I had my choice made for me, fried my video card while popping ramsinks off of it (and popped a ram chip). When I order new parts and get sorted out, I'll update my results with the bios.

So I finally found a Sempron...but it's a 3800+ AM2, which is not supported on the official CPU supported list... should I give it a try?
Yeah forget about it seems it doesn't have the same number of pins...

Nope won't work unfortunately. No AM3 Sempron 140s?
I can't find one... I would have to order one but it would cost me around 45$... we'll see.
dang that sucks
