    Hi all.

Does anyone know if the x6 is supported on this board? I am eager to buy one promptly.

    Thanks.

Had to get the latest bios (10/08/2009) to get the X6 1090T to post on the m2rsh but it seems to be stuck at 4x multi. and only seeing single thread. Vista is surprisingly usable with only 800mhz singe core though

Hate to get peoples hopes up with a bump to this thread but I saw this post by RGone on DFI's forum:

It is my understanding that Beta bios for X6 thuban processor is being worked on for the 790FXB-M3H5 during the week of 2 thru 8 of 2010. That is the only board that I have heard anything at all about. No other information has trickled down to date.

So when that bios is released it will be in the "beta" bios download section for that motherboard. You might see it in a few days before I do, but IF I see it first will make a note about in this thread. No other board has any information that I know about yet.
So i said screw it and ordered the MSI 890FXA-GD70 and some DDR3 ram. Gawd I hate being impatient with technology stuff, but at least i'll get to use my $300 6-core paperweight

Well mines no paper weight running in my biostar crunching for the week.
For the better I guess since if they had the bios ready Id be overclocking it and benchmarking instead.
I find it very hard to believe that they would do the fx m3 and not the gx m3.
They are virtually identical except for the nb and igfx.
Pwm's, mosfet, and vrm's all look to be they same across the boards even the m2's except one of them.

So i have the 890FXA-GD70 but am having a horrible time with pci express slot speeds and there doesn't seem to be any direct settings in the bios to set speeds like the dfi bios has. I have a post on MSI's forums, but i have the 1090T crunching hardcore in the meantime. I really want to get my video cards working properly before pushing the processor so just have to standby for that.

    -peace out

It seems i'm out of luck with my JR 790GX M2RS.

This is not the first time DFi has not released a bios for older boards. They will just tell you to buy the latest one.

I guess its no more DFi for me. GA and MSI keep there biosses up to date when new CPU's come on the market. So you can still use a 6 core in your old 770G baord.

To bad i like DFi boards but for AMD its not needed to upgrade your motherboard that ofthen. The best thing about AMD is there long backwards compatibility. Way better then Intel. But if board vendors dont update the CPU Code your out of luck....

I think i will sell the DFi and look info a GD65 from MSI.
