Sweeper, just finished reading this thread thru again today, but have been following it for quite a while. Have you considered, after you've finally got it completed to your satisfaction, to possibly document it with a parts/materials list? If it's been as inspiring to others as it has been to me (and there seems to be a number of us out there following it), then maybe it will allow us to follow in your footsteps, while avoiding some of the struggles you have ran into. Also, if you have some time down the road, could you possibly put down a quick/condensed version of your build, nothing too elaborate, seeing as you will have a Lot less time to play (for a while, at least) as soon as the new addition has arrived. This though you will find is a good thing, just a big change in priorities.(I have 2, so I know of whilst I speak)
The main things I would be interested to know would be a general run through of your design/planning process, the parts you chose and why, things to look out for while putting it together, and any changes you would have made if you had the chance to do it all over again. By this I mean even after the tear out/rebuild you just did, anything else you'd of changed if you could? Bigger (!) case, diff materials, etc? Oh, and maybe things to look out for during the build/testing process. No rush, not at all, but if you could post something short, maybe a page or so, that would be huge to the rest of us mere mortals if we were crazy enough to think about trying to do something like this. I say crazy because I would venture a guess that most of us don't have the set of skills you obviously posess (so it would be that much harder for most of us), but with you having blazed the trail, it would help make up for our limitations.![]()

Thank you for your kind words! I know to some people this build has taking alot longer than most. But, this is a experiment and each phase of the build takes me down a different path. I will write up a summary of the do's and don't, once it is completed for the ones that would like to follow this build. I've wasted alot of time and money during the experimental stage, but I want it to be right and something to be proud of at the end.
I've preassembled both cascades and I will break it down for painting over the next few days. I will be posting pics soon.![]()
Hey Sweeper! It's almost mid-May, what's the ETA on the delivery of your other 'project'? Already happened, or any day now?![]()

I'm still in process of assembling two stage cascade for the liquid loop. Waiting on a few parts to complete the other systems. I don't have much room for assemby in the case. The case wasn't design to house two cascades and single stage all in one. But, I've came up with a clever idea for the components and it will work. I had to make most of the parts, so they could fit in a small space. Once you see all the work I've put into this system, you will know why it has taking so long to build.
Thanks for your interest.![]()
No no no, not _that_ project, your Other Project. You know, the one that always is completed in 9 months or less? What's the status on that one?![]()

Oooh, I totally misread the the question. Well, my son will be born in approximately 10 more days ( May 18 ) and can't hardly wait!My wife is hoping he will be born on May 19, because that is my birthday. I guess, so she can give me the ultimate B-Day gift. It doesn't matter, I'm bless with a wonderful wife and soon to be son! Each day is a ultimate gift!
Thanks for asking!

Well, happy birthday, hope it was eventful, and maybe you've already had your addition to the family? If so, congrats!

holy crap man
there are more cooling components then PC components
unbelievable
Sweeper, hope the new addition went well, as it's now June and these things don't usually go this far past deadline. I'm sure you're not gettting a lot of sleep right now, so time to work on the rig is probably nonexistent. Completely understandable, but do hope when things settle down to see you posting again, and feeding us with whatever updates you have on the Rig.![]()

My son was born May 11 and he is doing great! Your right....I didn't get much sleep during the first two weeks....but, my son is starting to sleep better now. I've also been very busy with entertaining family and of course work. Everything is starting to settle down now and I'm planning to work on the project this weekend. I will post progress soon.
Congrats on the son. My second boy was born May 13th, so I understand the lack of time for playing with your setup. Enjoy it while you can though, they grow up quick.![]()

I'll 2nd that one, and congrats! Glad to hear everything is going well for everyone. They sure do grow up fast, I have one turning 18 this summer, but then again, I have another turning 4 this fall, so here we go again!I will say that it _is_ easier doing this at 30 than 45, but who's complaining?
Still looking forward to see how things are coming along on your rig when you have a spare minute or 3. Thanks again for the update!

Well it took me 3 hours to make it through 3 years worth or posts , 27 pages WOW
Sweeper - AWESOME WORK - Attention to Detail and Quailty , very nice.
But every time I think you are done I hit the next page button -- OH NO-you took it apart again, you're driving us crazy.
I hope you finish it soon I don't think I can take anymore of this.
Good luck with the baby and Goliath , Thanks Tom

I know its been awhile since my last update, so thought I would share my progress with the rebuild of Goliath. Its going slow, but I've managed to almost complete the cascade for liquid loop. Just need to finish brazing and the first stage will be ready for testing. The second stage will start testing after the system is mounted in the case. The other cascade for CPU will assemble faster, because I'm building both cascades at the same time. I don't have much time to work on this project, but I will keep you guys up to date.
More to come!
