Looks like a 4~6 phase PWM (2 inductors per phase) with each phase looking to be 30 amps - do the math for the approx max current draw (depending upon how OCP is implemented).

GT overclocking really needs PWM circuits with 200 amp+ handling (+ a good 40~50 amp overhead if you want the board to last).

Well the Extreme has a similar PWM config to the UD4p and I 'd like to put more than 1.6v volt through it on cascade and LN2.

Because MOSFETs can handle junction temps up to 150~170 Celsius before breakdown. What matters more than heatsinks is a properly implemented OCP circuit.
