You dualie folks might like this

Just finally got my review up of a Supermicro case/board/PSU combo that they loaned me for a few weeks.
Incredible setup and my only unhappy moment was having to return it.
Not cheap but worth every penny they ask for it.
The PSU setup, dual hot swapable 1100w 93% efficient units has to be one of the sweetest ever tossed into a workstation.

I also meant to say, good write-up, you highlighted all of the little things folks might take for granted. Looks like it's a top-notch barebones.
no to either F@H or GPUGRID.
Just basic testing and yes, thing is built like a Bentley..

I tried to buy it from them, yes, it's that good.
no bs in that review..stick 6-2 tera drives in there with 2 raptors for the OS, a decent vid card,2- 6 cores, 12 gig memory and you got yourself one hell of a package that can do it all.
Nicest best built I've ever seen..

It fell thru and I think the issue was they didn't know who I'd send a check to..
Marketing and sales issues I guess but hey, you win some and you lose some..
I keep telling myself just go and buy it..
I think the best price I saw was $1460.00

I found it. Once I get my hands on 2 6 core chips, then will have to consider this one. Looks to be a good crunching system. To bad it can't be tweeked.

Definitely not cheap, but it's not outlandishly expensive for the newest tech out there.
Doubly so when the barebone supports 4 full PCI-E x16's and 2 PCI-E x8's; that's practically the BEST workstation design possible.
