BFG Pulls out of Europe (Confirmed)

    Hi guys

I am not sure if this contributes as news or not, but on the 11th of January I posted in a thread that BFG were pulling out of the European Market, at the time there was no official confirmation from BFG, just rumours started by UK etailers. However it has now been officially confirmed that BFG will be no longer selling cards in Europe.

What is also disturbing is that it is unclear how warranties will be effected.

Guru3d have posted the story here

It is still unclear how current warranties and upgrade programs are affected by this.

What an incredible loss for the European channel, as BFG produced amongst the most best quality products on the market, and especially their OC and Liquid cooled graphics cards are just brilliant.
My guess is the lack of Fermi AND reliability of Factory overclocked cards has burnt BFG on this...?

Could we see more OEM's pulling out of Europe?

Are nVidia in more trouble than we think?

Are BFG having issues in the USA too?

Such a sad day for us in EU as this leaves only eVGA, and from what I hear eVGA might be the next to leave the EU market....

Well... I have an RMA on the go with BFG. So far... its going slow

It is a shame, yea. BFG warranty is/ was excellent

eVGA are... TBH- a bit weak in the UK. Sure... the stuff is generally obtainable, but Classifieds- mobos + VGA are in very short supply.

MSI, Asus + Gigabyte are still the easiest way of buying an nV card over here

From my understanding, BFG used and still use predominantly reference cards though. Their quality was the same as every other NVIDIA board partner but it was their warranty that allowed them to stand out IMO.

Big loss for sure but I am sure another company will pick up the slack.

i think the main reason for them pulling out is cause they never really where that big in Europe, it is possible that their sales in Europe werent worth it.

BFG cards where very hard to get a hold of compared to eVGA or XFX cards and would cost more then comparable cards from others.

So i doubt this is Nvidias fault.

Well, the less competition in europe the more attractive the market becomes for those who remain, BFG leaving actually increases the chances that EVGA and others stay.
