Sorry guys, I have to disagree. Does anyone remember the hype of Core 2 when someone let some benchmarks "slip" out? All of a sudden people who were considering buying Athlon 64s probably put off that purchasing decision to wait for Core 2. Hype is generated long before a product launches.
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

Since the Radeon HD 3450 became the Radeon HD 4200 IGP in the RS880 chipset, are we to assume that the RD890 chipsets will also have an IGP derived from the RV620 GPU or can we expect an RV710 based IGP?

Now you are talking about a significant change in processor architecture, not at all comparable to 'just' an update of the 790GX chipset.

I actually had a short conversation with Sham about this at CES.

I was informed although nothing is/was confirmed that for Evga to make a 790 chipset based board was pointless as it was to late in the game.

What that means is they could possibly make an 890 board although this is just speculation.

what I really love about ASUS mobo is that "unlock" of "latent" (love that therm coined by ASUS) cores! Just one flip, and my "triple-five" turned in B55 and after usual overvolting @ 1.5V it was happily churning @ 4GHz

As I getting older more and more I appreciate this "overclocking for dummies" approach from mobo vendors! I've got exhausted in youth days with nF4 LP, and now I need switches, dials and easy BIOS!
Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.

No. By 'late in the game' he meant the whole AM2/2+/3 socket platform. Last time I spoke with Shamino, he said that maybe they will do something when a complete new architecture + compete new platform is launched. So, new socket, new CPUs, new architecture, etc.

It makes sense really, Sham would have to build an AM3 from scratch whereas all other manufacturers have years of experience with this socket/architecture.

I wish we could see more 890FX boards, especially from Gigabyte. Looking forward to that the most.

What's the big deal with these 890 boards? Sata 3.0 and usb 3.0 but what about cpu/memory performance? What about 3D? Is it better than 790 chipset?

yah I was kinda hoping a 6 core would be enough but i guess it's bulldozer or bust then.

Yea, he and Joe told me the same thing at CES. No EVGA boards for current gen AMD. And honestly, I would be surprised to see them in the first batch of bulldozer. I think they will really need to have their arms twisted to consider making the investment. Budgets are tight.

EVGA executed well. rather than being middle of the road board designer with broad horizontal platform products, they focus on what they do best....Intel board

XFX always used referent boards, like Zotac. For example board on 790i or 680i
