i'll use just the cpu on WC now. Full cover vga blocks are inexistent here in Brazil, and importing will cost more than the whole project.

The orientation will remain stock, as I've done 3 inverted cases recently, and I'm trough with it for now.

The exterior rad is to keep the ATX-frienldy layout. If a mainboard change is at hand, I could choose any. i love Matx, but flexibility is always welcome.
The rad will not remain outside for now, because my current vga is single-slot, and there is no other pci used. Internal rad looks cleaner.

Joger, I'm curious what case that is. I wouldn't buy it (no exhaust fans), but its different (sorta, in a retro way, lol)

If you're looking for an upgrade, the TJ08 (silver or black) or Antec NSK3480. I prefer the Silverstone since seems to just be made better and nicer looking.

    Sorry to hi-jack the thread.

Please post more. You're giving me ideas for even air cooling.

The case was given to me free, I believe it is from the early 2000 or late 90's, it has no information on make/model. The indsides were Athlon XP -era

You can find the rest of the pictures here.

very nice. I own one gmc r2 too and I really like this case, but its hard to fit an 240mm in it, I really hope you can do it!
the hardest mod I did in it was adding two more harddrives.

    That's amaaaazing.

It looks like there's a flattening of the tubing on the outlet of the CPU block (?)

Just trying to save you from flow-death :P Very nice sir. Have you considered a rad for the small fans? are they 80 or 92mm? Pretty sure I've seen it on P-PCs if you order from them. Maybe you can at least use it to get a part number if you like it.

I'm always trying to get more rad....

yah, I know those rads, but they look like toys to me. ehehehehehehhe

The flat part is because of the shooting angle. It's nice and round....

If I manage to get some taller feet than the previous, then I''l put more fans at ethe external bottom of the case, and perhaps add a vga waterclock....

Ok. I always assume the worst in pictures. I did notice some of the other pics looked ok and there were no bulges, but I wanted to make sure

I usually find a kink in my tubing after alerting someone else, so this may help me when I check my rig haha

I'm waiting my 80mm AKASA white led fans to finish, the 120mm are white, but only appear at night.
And the next set of handles I get, I'll put another pair in the top of the case, and make my "Lil Cosmos"

    Ladz:

I had a TERRIFIC idea. Synthetic, it'll help you as well if you are still with your project.

Remember the fronte bezel? The lower part is hollow, to house the DVD drive. Something that I DONT use.
So, I'll take the pump OUT of the main compartment, but still inside the case, it that very hollow useless space!

Just use my others 90º fittings and the internal space will accomodate even SLI in full atx mobos....

The window, by the way..... simple but does the job

I could see doing an i7 mATX build like this and NOT having heat issues. This is really really tempting. I just don't have the need or cash right now.

I'll bookmark this thread for later use. I have to say, it couldn't be done any better.

What are your temps and OC?

BTW, I might do an air cooled version, I.E. no rad, but two 120mm fans at the bottom. Since this case can hold a Mugen 2, SLI + that much air intake may keep an i7 more than cool enough.

I'd love to see a gpu block added in to the loop.

Amazing man. I can't appreciate this thread enough. Makes me feel bad I have my R-3 sitting on my floor. I need more cash flow!

I forgot to ask. Is the fillport at the top of the case so you don't have to open it to refil the res?

Can you post a pic if that's the case?

in fact, as the res comes out easily of its holding clips, and it can be dragged outside, the fill hole was not made on the top of the case.
I tried to do the smallest damage to the top. If you see it from far, the cases is 100% stock. Thats what I meant in this project.

This week the feet will take their place, and I'll try to use the feet I got, remaking the screw holes a bit closer.
And taking the pump out, ( perhaps even the Res can be on the DVD void.)

    AND if you go air, another hint;

Just on the DVD hollow bezel, you can put an 120-140mm intake fan, for greater air intake and vga coolness.
OR remove this fan, and use his hole to add even a 5970 ( the case have 34cm from back to the internal end of front bezel)
But the R-2 have gills on the DVD space, the R-3 does not. Shame.

I'd take out DVD on your case, and use that space ( if its in the upper part) to hide all the PSu cables and/or rout them to the lower parts, like vga and stuff.

Lots of ideas that keep coming, hope it helps.
