My Antec900 did its' job, and did it well, but still, it was time to move on-

Time for some 'push-pull', with some help from a couple of 'High-Speed' Yate Loons'-

An attempt at some wire mis-management-

    Wow,

Great minds think a like... I already have this Lancool K-62 case in my newegg shopping cart since I no longer want the DUST that my ANTEC 900 is sucking in to my hardware.

You have made a great choice al- !

@joger:I prefer the strenght of 775,son

@SnW:IMHO it's a good CPU cooler, but soon I will change actual peltier cell on that to mount another one more powerful (probably 150w ).
    For the memories,yes it works

Even without HT, isn't and i7 of the same clockspeed faster? And most D0's nowadays go 4.2 - 4.4 easy. And you have a great cooler to boot with more on the way, it just seems pointless to get S775 for maxed out builds these days

Not to go completely off topic, here's a shot of my new Nexus " 3.5inch HDD to 5.25inch bay" -mounts:

I relocated the DVD-burner to the desk since I rarely have any use for it, it's now hooked up via an IDE-to-USB HDD-adapter thingy

Socket 775 is still plenty enough for even gaming, current games don't even utilise it to full power.
I've been meaning to update my stoneage Q6600 with something more powerfull, but there's no
point in it now. i7 = too hot, 5i = not that big of an improvement over the Q. I'll wait for the next
    goodie shipment from intel.

i5 quad core is no big improvement from the Q?! Are you on drugs, son?

I thought you were in high school. YOU HAVE A KID ALREADY???????

EDIT but I agree just no reason to go to i7 for me yet. While I would love to just cause the motherboards are sexy I am probably going to get rid of my crappy 680i soon for a gigabyte p45 and then either get a new ati or nvidia when they come out.

Lookin good! Here is a very simple i3 build i did today for a family member. Best part is that it has room to grow in the future.
