I just find it really hard to believe AMD Chips doing 4.1 Ghz Stable on 1.43v with air...

I can hardly validate that 4.1 @ 1.43v. I suppose Cecil's and my C3's are dud chips. 3.9 on 1.51v with 2.6 NB 1.275v for my chip on air isn't really too much to brag about, while my load temps only see 54-54.5c in OCCT and 52-53c in Prime95.

I thought about getting a Megahalems Rev B with a 120/38 Panaflo but I doubt I will see too much improvement.

I could be seeing a temp wall, because I've been running 4 Ghz @ 1.52v for about 10 hours now. Just wish I could conclude it's stable, but this way only several days/weeks will tell.

he said he has 2 955's that are able to do 4.1ghz on 1.43v! for your and cecil's cpus, as someone else said in another thread, they have chips that take .2v less to be stable at same clocks in different mobo's so that could be a factor too. i know ive said this a lot but it seems like a lot of the people having a hard time getting stable 4ghz are on am2 boards. can you try to test some same cpu settings you have now but with low mem clocks & volts (pref. ~1.6v if u can) to see if that makes any difference? probably a long shot but you never know.

    here u go

    Reset cmos
    Restarted...put in 1.47v
Okay...Posted but crashed to a restart with Linx
    Restarted...upped the volts to 1.48v
Okay...Posted but again crashed to a restart
Restarted.. upped volts to 1.5v (1.496v windows)
Okay...Posted but errors in linx with max temp hitting 66c. No more. 955 wins by a very, very large margin on stock air.

We can't set anything less than 1.8v (I could set 1.725v on my old nforce 590 sli), but my DDR2-1150 does 5-5-5-15 @ 1175 at 1.8v.

    I could try Prime95 or OCCT / LinX @ 1.575v but I don't think I wanna run that 24/7...

I just wonder if (we) can pull any more out of these things...

Today I got one 955 C3 and it's not better than my first 965 C3, unfortunately

Here's 4GHz @ 1.5V. I thought I can get it stable at far less voltage, but without luck. For 4116MHz it wants 1.575V.

    Batch is 0952CPMW

Since when is 4 minutes, or even 45 minutes from a few posts up considered stable? I can run prime for 6-7 hours over 4Ghz easy, but it always fails somewhere between 7 and 9.

And again, I didnt say there was no improvement, just that it was nothing major. I got about an extra 100Mhz out of mine over the x2 550 I had unlocked.

I am thinking of selling this chip though and getting a new X2 555 and give it a shot. That way I can pocket some money too.

Hey, don't get me wrong, that's not a stability screen, it passed 20 minutes after that and I just stopped it, because I'm aiming at 4.1-4.2GHz.
It was just a quick test and it's at least relatively stable, but that's not the point. If I play a little bit more with it I can probably lower it one step,
but the thing is that it's not better than the 965 in my signature...
Speaking about C3's I did also gained only 100MHz with my first 965, compared to the unlocked 550 @ 4GHz. I still hope for a chip that makes 4.2 full stable for 24/7.
