Hey this is all suppose to be in fun , i happen to like competition myself, just validation of how fast a certain cpu can do, and what week it is to me is not worth much, it isnt like when you order from newegg or others you can say ohhh by the way can i have week 28 batch.......

. But if there is going to be a competition sort of thing with this, it should be named correctly, THE 4.5 AND ABOVE C3 CHALLENGE , etc. I love the competition, other wise it gets kinda boring, it gives you something to shoot for, to push your board and cpu, this is XS remember, but lets all just have fun and get along. But there is nothing wrong with this thread and it should be for the purpose of intended by the starter of this thread.

If a guy can do 4.4 Ghz, then the thread is completely changed, all valids under 4.5 will be removed. Im not just asking for C3's, there are alot of guys with C2's out there too and I'd rather not turn this into a big "e-peen" event.

Collecting useless data as i don't see any point in a system that's just stable enough to validate.

If it is more stable than that why not show a benchmark?

Putting in some competition like Titan7171 did makes it more of a challenge to me (and some others).

Each to their own i guess but calling it a e-peen sword fight because you feel left out isn't very kind imho.

Don't take it personal RM, just my opinion, feel free to have and speak out yours here.
Validation threads aren't useless when there is allot of unlockable chips in the mix. Nice to know what can do what. As for stability and overclocking....it get's to the point where you're on the razor edge of stability and validations of those can easily be considered just as useless.

No reason why both threads can't thrive together.

As for me feeling left out, na lol. This is my first AMD set up in 4 years, and while I think it's pretty fun on air I'm just learning the little nuances of it; I'll compete when the SS/DICE/LN2 hits it.

Me personally I just wait till summer time to see whats really happening

Sometimes the lack of posts/oc's tells alot more than what people post.
    Hi Chew

Congrats on your new AMD Ram OC WR
Thx for reminding me to correct my PII 550 record in HWbot. I appreciate that

I'd tried a few times & finally got the best I could do on the coldest day in HK this week

Hope to spare more time to read all your threads & learn more out of it.

    Happy New Year

    Can I play?

I don't recall the ambient, but somewhere around 72F.

I hate having a locked multi. This chip would do well over 4.0ghz I believe. 250x15 is the best I can get stable.
    You must [not] advance.

    Just curious Synth,

Did you try giving your Mobo NB (chipset) a little more juice?
I doubt anything over 1.3v would help, but if your running it on "auto" adding
a little more may help you get higher on the HTRef clock.

this thing is spent. CM Hyper2, never hits more than 55C and doesn't take a sh1t when I rely on it so I guess that's stable

    Ambient is 22C

    I hope your not complaining....

For ~$99 you got a dual core, than unlocked to a quad and runs @ 3.96 Ghz..

How do you like that board Reverend?

I'm always a little leary of GBT's 1st edition bios...
    Does it seem pretty stable?

Not at all, I'm pretty pleased with it. the board is kick ass, not one single issue with it in XP, Vista or 7.

Hmm guys it makes it *alot* easier for me to update the list if it's already in the OP format...just saying...

It takes me nearly 10 minutes when I need to stick all the info into that format and publish it in the first post, 30 seconds if already in it.
