Are they serious with the HDD cage in Q08? That just killed off any ideas for long video cards.

Got my SG05 the other day. Just waiting for my other hardware before I can commence build. Amazon sellers are taking forever to get my stuff shipped :/
Asus P5Q Pro P45 :: E8400 @ 4.1GHz 24/7 :: ATI HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 bios modded to 840/1150 :: 2GB OCZ ATI DDR915 @ 4-4-4-12 :: WD 750GB :: Dell TrueColour 24" Widescreen LCD :: Modded CM690
Black Ice GTS-Lite 360 rad :: D-Tek Fuzion rev.2 CPU block :: EK Multires 100 :: D-TEK DB-1 pump :: EK HD4870 Crossfire waterblock
It looks to me as if the bottom 2 HD mounts can be removed to allow for a larger graphics card (notice the divider between the two sections?).
Tell me about it, all my stuff has been posted but because of the weather here it just isn't getting delivered.

I'm getting very anxious about the SG07. From the only pic I have seen it looks to taller and wider than the SG06.

i love my pc-q07.
ive got the zotac board (3 sata conenctors) an intel 5300 - 2gb ram - 330w seasonic psu and a 320gb 2.5inch hdd
windows 7 with xbmc
So I eventually got my Zotac board. Just for fun lastnight I plugged my ATI 4870 in, and crammed it into the SG05 chassis. It's running nicely. Cover on, fan speed at 30% and idle temp is 51 degrees celsius.
More photos and video of it running here

Hi Shoganator,
great pictures and great video too.
- How is the look & feel of your new PC case ?
- And is it the 2 x SATA (D-E) or 3 x SATA (I-E) Mini iTX board ?
- Any hick-ups during installation of your OS (not Win95 though) ?
I'm surprised you went with 2GB over 4GB of RAM.
(Awesome parachute video BTW.)
Hey Cov,
1. Look is ok - I think I would have preferred the SG06 with aluminium front though. Otherwise it's compact and neat
It turned out to be the old revision with 2 x SATA (So yes the D-E model)
Installation of Windows 7 was a bit tricky - I have a slimline DVD Writer from an old acer laptop that I had ready to go, but realised when I got the board that there is no IDE, so I couldn't use that with the SG05 adapter. I therefore whipped out an external slimline USB DVD writer to boot off and install Windows from. The BIOS found this, but would not boot off it! So I ended up plugging in my normal DVD drive from main rig to install OS and am just running without an optical drive for now.
The 2GB OCZ RAM is temporary till I get a decent 2 x 2GB kit
Regarding the tandemHaha thanks man - did that a couple of years ago now, but was awesome fun! Highly recommended.
