I am out of town for the moment so I can't test the new bios yet.
The setting is VDDNB and I don't think I have a CPU VDDA either but I cannot check now. Hardwarecanucks are running an older bios (0401) so there may be some changes...

BTW does your ripjaws work with the new bios in other dividers except 400?

yes, rip jaws work now in other dividers however they dont work aswell as i expected. SPD is kinda out with lower timing setting (400, 533) manual setting then to spd on those diviers causes the machine not to boot even with fsb is at stock.

I do have a pita of a cpu though and looking at picking up a cheap 620 in the new year. My fried has a identical setup to me but has raid 1 instead of 0 so will be checking his setup next year when we meet to see how his machine compairs with the voltage of the core.

    any luck pcfreak?

I have spoken to g skill again and they suggest memory controller problems on this board/cpu combo and the -V board as other users on the g skill forum have same problem with g skill memory.

    Hi Noee

Firstly, thanks alot for the scrrenshot, appreciated.

Yes, im trying to get to grips with this setup. I managed to get to my friends house with a identical setup to mine, purchase on the same day however we both didnt get the details of the chip but i cannot think they are to far away.

Anyway we went about testing his setup and he is the same, no issues like me with requiring such a high vcore. We had his in max out his stock cooling on 1.4v with a OC at 3.7Ghz.

I really do think the vcore this board is getting is somehow wrong, is it a sensor or something like that?

I have a multimeter and am trying to find out information where to put it on this board to test the vcore as either my chip is probably the worst one around or there is something not right with the vcore as at 1.6V testing i still stay around 48C on cores and 55C on cpu with air.

I am also experiencing a similar problem with this board. My A-DATA is pretty good and solid memory, yet I have to under clock like everyone else to 400. With higher memory speed, I always hit the wall of 217; with 400, I can go as far as 265.

I have not had an Asus board in over 2 years

Check your mobo for rusted chokes and tell ASUS.
They claim no problems from rusted chokes reported.

    M4A785TD-M EVO
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO and 720 BE OC Problem
    Hi,
just got a new setup and decided to try for overclocking... I have viewed lots of guides on Asus mobos and the 720BE and a few vids on You tube etc... so have had a bash at OC'ing.
My current OC is 3.0GHz dead with the multiplier... i have tried going higher in small steps but to no avail- I think one of my problems is that when i up the CPU voltage even by the smallest incriment the system crashes every time and I need to kill the power at the PSU just to get a re-start!
