cpu temp in bios was 4°C, last time 5°C so cpu freq is similar but nb freq is very grateful with ice...

I will show some 3D soon with my new XFX 5870 XXX Edition also...

Yeah im dissapointed with MSI GD70 memory clocking, i can get my cpu well over 4ghz, but memory cant get 1701 stable, infact i cant go over 1700 mgz just wont go, so kinds sucks.

I've been testing my rig outside again tonight and got some pretty good results if i may say so myself.

Ambient temp was 1ºC, nice and chilly, just how i like it. (for benching)

    Here's a quick Cinebench in XP 32 bit: (for Flank3r )

Some 3d mark 06 with just a single 4870 under water:

And finally the one i put most effort in and the one i'm really proud of:

Under 15 second, exactly what i was aiming for.

    Thanks guys.

I never ran Trp other than 5 so i don't know how much gain it gives in 1M but ram timings are not that imprortant for 1M, raw speed and high CPU-NB are the key. It was real nice to get 14 seconds after i saw you do it, so far i haven't seen anyone else do it on water or air.

It will get colder, somewhere around wednesday this week temps of -6ºC are forecast. If i feel like it i might give it another try.

Makes a diff in 32m when i was testing. Probably not enough of a diff to impact 1m at those speeds but maybe when really cold

On air? Not very likely I'm afraid. On good water it should be possible with a nice chip..

Guys, all thanks for the kind words. All it took was some cold actually.

feniksgod, 0942 does not seem to be the best week from what i've seen. 4.2GHz is out of reach with normal cooling i think, unless you're very lucky and find a chip that likes some volts.

Hey. I got 0942FPMW under testing today. After hours of testing it looks like max stable clocks for cores are 4080MHz and for IMC 2870MHz. Second core always fails if i raise IMC clocks, no matter what.
That's with Noctua D14 and 26c ambients. My other C3 (0933FPMW) overclocks about same from core's (~4,1GHz) but IMC is much better, with max stable IMC of ~2940MHz.
Havent tested any other C3's, but after hours of testing i must say 0933FPMW (From AMD) looks much better than 0942FPMW (Real retail).
