Seeing loften and TOOl CHILE marks (and my own experiences running both at 186MHz and 191MHz FSB), it almost looks like that's the real sweet spot for some of us who have the i5 core CPU. It seems to take a lot more juice to push the FSB up from there. Maybe we have the same batch number chips ....just FYI, my i5 is batch number L932B759...which I believe stands for made in Malaysia (L) in 2009 (9) in the 32nd week (32) in lot number B759

    mine is L930B563
so playing with it a little more 21x200 was not blend stable at 1.28 cpu, 1.19 vtt.. i just ran it at 1.33 cpu 1.19 vtt for a half hour and i think it will go.. it runs a little cooler and needs less volts at 21x200 then it does at 20x210 the memory read was a little lower then it was with the memory over clocked a little on the 20x210 though..

    FYI, mine is L928B214

Anyway I decide to run stock speed and run linx 0.64 to see if they are stable on stock first.

load default at bios then save to exit nothing touch setting, everything is auto below. linx run 20 times passed.

I use turbo enable at 21x171 @ 3.6mhz with llc off, c1e off, speed off, the rest auto setting but failed linx pix below.

Again same turbo enabled 21x171 @3.6, llc off, c1e off, speed off, just change auto to maual for vcore notch 2 at 1.30625 in bios and the rest auto. linx run 20 timess passed.

Then 21x181 with vcore 1.34375 failed pix below, I think I need increase with VTT, PCH little bit more, I will tweak it till stable later.

BTW, my board is not great OC but just mild OC like 3.6 with little tweak and 3.8 need some juice.

    Go Steelers !

You guys seem to get way more gflops than my 860 even when mine was clocked higher? Any ideas? HT getting in the way?

I do some bench without turbo mode and i have better results for stability and lower voltages so maybe you can try that.

without turbo mode 220x20, what voltages/settings did you need? was it without vdroop? see if i can get my chip stable 4.4 with lower volts..

at 4.4 - 220x20 i am having hard time getting it stable without going crazy on volts.. maybe my memory as it is going up to 2200 or maybe board/fsb limit? at 210x21 4.4 no problem..

I have the same batch and it's a decent chip. I wouldn't say that it's a great chip, but I've seen plenty that are worse.

Here is a little bit of some messing around I did yesterday. My ram is a bit tricky, either I don't know what I'm doing or it's not too great. I can't tighten the timings for the life of me. This was towards the end of some other benching and I didn't try to raise the divider and run it at higher speeds.

Really nice frecuency, but time sucks. Can you give me that config on bios? i can't reach 221 bclk .

That was a lucky SS only

dang chile that is pretty up there..
so i got my long cf bridge today.. i ran 3do6 at 4.2 with both 512 hd4870's at 755x910 clocks.. it scored higher then my maximus se and e8500 at 4.5 did.. i guess 8x 8x is not that bad considering the maximus was 16x 16x and scored lower..

To be honest, I booted into windows at something like 4.5ghz. I had done similar runs before, but never actually reached 4.6ghz. I did the rest in windows using e-leet.

I'm pretty sure that I had:
    vcore - 1.5v
    vtt - 1.425
    pll - 1.85
    pch - 1.1

the rest of the stuff I really didn't mess with. I had to raise the vcore two notches in e-leet to be able to do the last run. It started acting up on me with less vcore.

I was really just trying to do some aquamark runs. Was too lazy to keep rebooting after every run to see what I can get. So I opted to try out e-leet. I had never really used it before and the last time I tried benching, I did it all through the bios.

I think my memory is what's holding me back. The last time around I tried tightening the timings and couldn't boot at anything lower than what I have. I think I just have cheap ram. Any tips on where to start with ram timings?

Not bad at all, my ex e8500 and DFI UT P45 T3RS ( i don't sell this DFI, i love this mb ) score lower with 4870x2, the 2 extra cores and threads help con CPU score + 3dmark06.

But this plataform have better perfomance on win7 and vista compared to 775.

I let you my " best " score with:

    Core i5 750 @ 4.3
    hd 5770 @ 1000 - 1300
    EVGA P55 SLI
    Pcpower&Cooling silencer 750w

    F u c k, i cant' reach 222 bclk,

    Regards from Chile.

That's pretty high. I don't know how well those cards score but I only managed 22k with the gtx 260 and my i5 at 4.5ghz.

    Thanks .

If i can run this cards on XP i will get more cpu score , maybe can be a hugh stuttering because from 180-170fps on first bench drop to 40 - 30 fps

To me, that is a great score if you are talking about a single GTX 260 card....I would have thought a single GTX 260 would score about 18k or so on a good system using 3DMark06.
