Not exactly a lot to go on, but if that second look is any indication I'm not terribly impressed. Not the worst looking case by far, but not amazing by far.

IMO Cooler Master should never have stopped making the STC-T01 (or, at least, after modifying the side panel to take more than a single 80mm fan they shouldn't have); nothing from their camp has impressed me like that guy did.

The case in the second link is obviously not the 690 II but rather the all black CM 690 PURE which came out a while ago.

    Whatcha getting at OP?

looks ok since i don't care for a flashy exterior. i would sacrifice exterior looks for interior features as long as the case isn't unbearably ugly. my pc sits underneath a desk and i never see it so the times i do bring it up are to clean dust filters or to exchange parts.

the one thing i wouldn't sacrifice anything for are dust filters (on every vent), their a must have where i live.

Maybe they'll update it so everything actually fits flush instead being a complete and utter pain in the ass anytime you want to remove a side or anything to clean it. Mine pisses me off.

Definitely not the CM690 Pure. Looks nice, nothing special from that one picture. Hopefully they have changed the interior design. I never liked the design of their tool less retention system.

Its not the same at all. Look at the finer details at the back and front. Its quite different.

Looks kinda dull to me. We need another HAF, I suppose.

Looks like I won't be buying this case. Difference between the first gen and second gen? Not much!

I'd like to see more inverted ATX cases. Put the cold air at the bottom through your heatsink FIRST, not allow all the hot air to rise, and THEN hit your heatsink.
    You must [not] advance.

From the scant details, the front certainly looks more finished, but the obvious things are
    - the backside fan mount actually has 4 screw holes
    - you can see straight through which means the case will have a back plate cut out
    - side panel has different orientation for the middle fan
    - rear fan grill looks less restrictive and only 120mm mounting (good!)
    - entire insides appear to be painted black
    - bottom PSU intake looks like it has a dust filter
    - the PCI tool less clips have been noticeably modified

Can't wait to see the insides, hopefully they've done something about the top section, an inch of space was wasted in the first design plus a stupid number of layers (fan grill + plastic grill + fine metal mesh...)
and hopefully its not quite so rickety, fragile and everything fits together flush, the first one felt like you bought a 10 year old used car with 250k on the clock.

I used to have a CM690, great case for the money (when I bought it anyway), awesome CM is looking to improve it, hope they release a HAF-932 rev2

There is already a HAF 922. And it beats the crap out of any other case in its segment in terms of space, functionality, and airflow.

It can be better if the inside is painted black

    It's not bad.
    Nothing special, though, IMO.
Just another decent case for those seeking one within a reasonable price range.
On a side note, it should be a light case. This is a plus IMO.

the difference i think is the corsair is alot taller (like 3-4" mabye?) which allows for alot more WC options.

im expecting price to be 240-260$ for this

redo the side to fit one or two more rads like the bottom and top and then it's prefect.
