strange, been fiddling with the B2B settings on the evga E760 for a bit now, but dont get any of the changes everyone is on about?
Or is the 'auto' on the Classified good already? tried 4, trying 6 now, but i thought lower was better..
//edit so 6 was 0.5sec slower, trying 3 now

getting a classy 760 , P6t Deluxe, and x58 platinum platinum to blow up (LOL) ... my w3570 should be back in my hands tomorrow- testing the i5 750 still... blew up another P55 Board (UGH) so I think I will step up to GD80 this time
so, LN2 is almost gone, was not really huge succes, but ok. first time LN2 -> was fun!!!
only had 15L , and i think 1/2 liters were gone within a few min due to the fact the dewar was cooling down,
dewar is ok though, so that's good.
I had high hopes that the classified would boot higher then -80 / - 90 , but still same problem with last time benching, it has coldboot at -30 :S
it's really cpu / mobo combination, i know the cpu has coldbug of -115 , and previous cpu on current classified didnt had any low coldboot issues.
Turbo did work thank god, so i could bench a bit. but i had to run dual channel, think the low temps had odd effects on the IMC, because i saw no frost or what ever near the channels.
And i couldnt use memset either, because it didnt found the 2GB that was missing. so had to run with poor timings.
BUT! great fun anyhow, had a 5.4ghz 32M run, 06.53sec but the tube was to cold and the cpu had nothing to do anymore after the run, so i got a BSOD![]()
Hope my results do yield some points!

Hey guys,
My new toy arrived and I wanna share some pics (if you guys don't mind), hope to bring some points with this bench station I'm building for the Ln2 tests:
1900g Ryba Rev4 LN2Pot
The station is not ready yet but here are some specs and pics:
Tech Station Specs:
HSPC Tech Station
Dell UltraSharp E153FPb 15" LCD
Ikea computer desk w/ wheels
PSU1_OCZ ProXStream 1000W SLI (f/ CPU)
PSU2_OCZ 520W PowerStream (f/ VGA)
PSU3_Bentec 250W (f/ pumps and fans)
Pump_1 MCP655 (vga loop)
Pump_2 TTP500 (NB loop)
Rad_1 Thermochill PA 120.3 (vga loop)
Rad_2 Swiftech MCR220 (NB loop)
DD 4870x2 blocks (x2)
* Rear view
Hope to move this station outside and bench with temps around 0oC![]()
Submitted my results, although the cpu-z submit seems to have gone wrong, contacted massman about it.
the pi_fast, i dont know, perhaps the dual channel really made it alot lower? the xp wasnt to great anymore, quite some bsods, so times must have gotten worse anyway.
but this is really mad, ill have to redo those![]()
so far my i7 960 is benching 5012mhz on SS
SS and scores will follow

Nice Joriber go for them gold cups with that LN2 man !! Hopeing to get to Ryba aswell for such a pot...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
Did I mention the word "Aquamark" to you already?
5GHz on SS is looking good, how high can you run Uncore?
This CPU might be worth a try under dice or even LN2.
Keep the pics coming! This thread is the perfect place to post them!
I saw you made it into sub-7 32M which is great!
Did you mess with RTLs yet?
That was the entire problem, somehow i could only run dual channel, 1 channel just stopped working, dont know why, perhaps some moisture or what ever?
and due to the fact channel 'A' didnt work, i couldnt start memset / cputweaker, argh. im sure i could have tweaked quite some seconds of that score.
O well...
i could have done it in the bios aswell yeah, but i was affraid i'd get a hardboot if i swap memory settings.
havent assembled the system, it's laying to rest atm. and yeah, suppose it's the cold, but that's not good if i get limited by that.
ran out of time submitted some 05 and 06 but my 03 was bugged and vantage wasnt playing nice
here is how nice my i7 960 is

I saw your pm, thanks, i will look in to that. regarding the tightening, it was fairly tight yeah, always a bit worry that it's making lowzy contact, but perhaps that was it
it's just so frustrating the low coldboot problem, i already made a post @ evga, hopefully shamino will see it, and he can enlight me regarding this. it's mostly with 950 / W3540 from what i've seen.
Yesterday I tried overclocking an i7 950 ES chip, that I recently picked up, it did horribly on the cascade.
Running on an Evga Micro-SLI motherboard with plenty of chipset airflow and voltage settings that should have made it stable at 4.9ghz with HT.
It ran 4.7ghz no HT for 05, wouldn't even run at 4.6ghz in 06 without or with HT, and I managed a 4.8ghz run in 3dm01.
Do you guys figure it is a really bad chip?
I turned on the mode 2 extreme cooling setting in the Evga bios... What does that do? I read that its supposed to fix the coldboot issue. How?
Wprime results weren't good either, I think I was able to get 4.7ghz or 4.65ghz with HT with a result of 5.3s...
Why does the CPU show the varible multiplyer, but the multi never changed? I had Cxx and turbo and EHS disabled....
Here is my 05 run with 4.7ghz... http://hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=924799
Would I be better off running a new retail i7 960 with a Rampage II Gene mobo?
Keep on pushing thijs!![]()

dude i think most es cpus are a hit and miss...most suck unfortunately...

dude awesome cpu...thats is potent....for my 3570 to reach that..i need like 1.55v LOL
thijs
one time my mount was so bad.....i would FF with just 1dimm occupied....it was frustrating. go easy on the mounting...
when you mount try don't overtighten..just make sure the tim is firmly compressed ...twist lightly to remove air in between..i'm sure you know that..i'm just saying it
have fun guys...
Figures...
Time to grab another CPU!
I might have been able to do better with the retail i7 920 D0 I had yesterday if I could have gotten over 222FSB with the Evga Micro-SLI board.....
Didn't have much time yesterday so I was afraid to test it and get worse results....![]()

The clocks are really nice, but remember to use version 1.55 of WPrime when you submit to hwbot!
Here is a screen shot:
We have contributions by thijs and billdavis with their i7s under cold, PcCI2iminal for the country cup and TheGoat Eater's Sempron 140 session.
Another score I saw yesterday was made by jakethesnake011, he has a nice collection of GPUs, 4870X2, GTX 295, HD 5870 and 5970.
We might actually reach 7800 points until the end of the year!![]()
