Dude check your email, we can bench later

Guys, got a problem here. I was gonna check PCMark HDD tests with 2x vs. 3x Intel X25-M in Raid 0, but I blew WAY past the XP Startup cap with 2 SSDs already and no real tweaks yet

285MB/s General HDD usage is only at 130MB/s though. Fresh Vista 64, freshly wiped SSDs, OS has a few SSD tweaks but that's it. Dayum, I guess we can forget about running 05 huh

Edit: Guys, I really don't get it. How can he run iRams and all that stuff without blowing past the XP Startup cap? How does he do it?
If that isn't explained/disclosed somewhere I'm calling BS on this system

Edit2: Here is the run.. 750 @ 4Ghz with just an old 8800 (only wanted to do the HDD testing now...)

What happened? Only two SSDs? I couldn't get 1 to run better than 70 MB/sec and two didn't scale... How does that work?
Can you get 1 SSD to run 180MB/sec or so?

Jcool be warned as there is a 220mb cap speed on pcmark05, anything over it doesn't count... I've had my score for my E7400@5.4Ghzof 24K with 250ish MB XP startup being deleted... you have to stay sub 220 !! I sucks btu sadly it's like that... you can charge ya hd or system during the first test to lower the XP start up speed...

    Very nice.
Now you need to get the XP startup down to 200...
I think Leeghoofd means for you to run one of those light hard drive usage programs while the first test is running...
    Keep working on it!

Holy crap man, that was exhausting! But some of the finest benching I've done in a long long time.
Lol, I think we scored like 120 points with a single config.. on WATER The Xeon was flying (but craving some cold)

I'm becoming a bit frustrated. Why do all CPUs that pass through my hands suck? It's unbelievable...

Still, it was a nice dry ice session yesterday. Got 1# 3dm03 in Poland using two HD5870s and one HD5850

And it coldbugs at -70 °C. Go figure.

I once had a W3520 that would do higher clocks 3d stable on SS than this CPU does on dice/ln2.

EDIT: Me, to Stuttgart? at once, when they stop bothering me with such boring tasks as writing reviews or going to lectures

Yeah, you just bring some DICE/LN2, we've already got the hardware (I bet my a$$ this Xeon can do 5Ghz+ given the right cooling).

Plus you can pick up a Gulftown or two while you're here

Say "gulftown" a few more times and you might talk me into taking a plane to Stuttgart

That is a nice idea, but it would be easier for you to come to Poland and take your CPUs with you: we have a nice benching place here, cheap LN2 and DI not far away, lots of mobos and VGAs and other hardware

Ok guys, I got my Blood Rage PCIe mod done and it works. So far just messing around I hit 231BCLK x 21. Nothing great, but it's a start. I have to work today, but I will get to play Wednesday and should be able to put up a couple points for us. I am hoping to hit 240BCLK, not a WR but it will help my Vantage and other benchmarks. Anyway, this was my first solder mod and it was a real PITA, not to mention pain in the finger where I burned myself, lol.
