I have no clue, but I'd like to know how to get that intel utility running, it won't start on my Win7 x86-system...

    What BIOS-version are you using??
I tried disabling that ASUS System Control Service - but it won't work!
There's still that "Error loading application or connecting to XTU service"...

    hey dudes,

im having issues.... im running at 4-4.1 ghz at 1.375 vcore 1.37 vtt next is auto and the last is stock on 1.8v.

im running a p55m-ud2 with the beta bios and 2 x 2gb ripjaw 1600mhz which hppily does 2200mhz.

my issue is, at 4.1 real temp says im into the 80's which is not good, at 4.0 im in the 70's mid to high but this appears a common result...however....

whe im running occt, im getting random shut down and restarts.... all i can think is the cpu is thermalling but i dont know for sure,

anyone have similar with this board etc... psu is a tagan bz 1100w and im on a zipzang 2 scythe cooler...

    cheers

    Hi guys,

    I got i5 750 cpu today and I have batch L928B and dated 8/19/09

    Batch list below

They tested both batch L926B around (4.0-4.1 Mhz) and L928B around (4.2-4.3 Mhz).

    link at http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3652&p=6

I guess I got lucky better batch cpu.

@gordy: you have to be careful and check your voltages, my Asus P7P55D ran 20x200 with no problems on "Auto" - but my Vcore was bumped up to 1.5 Volts!! That's way too much!!

I had to think about it for a second, but I dealt with a similar short reboot cycle like you described just the other day. I had to loosen up the HSF...too much pressure on the CPU

BTW, for anyone looking for a great OCing mobo for a low price, be sure to check out my UD3R review here.

I hold 4 i5 world records with my 750 on this board My 750 is also an L928B batch

Nice !, I am still looking for different brand 1156 maybe like Asrock P55 Pro look promising ? I like their layout board really neat with 3 smart buttons, can use 775 coolers and LED on board is a plus.

I know gigabyte p55m ud3 is good also.

BTW, I already tired of my old P45 775 Gigabyte UD3R.

There is conflict between the TurboV and Intel utilities, even uninstalling both and just installing one will not work. I hate to say this, but a clean install with just the Intel utility loaded is what you need to do. ASUS and Intel are working on a fix right now.

I will try that newer BIOS first, I don't want to do a new windows installation

And I don't really need that intel utility, but is there any other way to find out the VID of my CPU???
