SLI hack on Intel legacy chipsets (not X58)

how do I see if SLI is aviable without installing a 2nd graphic card?

So all worked fine. Bt I have to use "F8" always to disable driver signature checking. Otherwise the modded driver is not working. So far i tried to do a certificate by myself but thats not working. Any small howto avaiable or perhaps u have a updated version of the x64 vista/7 driver?

status: running with 2x7900GS on on CTHIM P45 Mainboard

just the F8 isssue and i am happy. second 260GTX coming soon. When my Mosfet Blaock for the 790FX-GD70 gets back I will also try to set it up on the AM3 platform

Same question as Darkgnome. I have used the HAL method after replacing the DSDT file. My board now shows up as x58..lol.....Will the SLI option show up in the driver without a second card?

You are saying that I need another gtx 260 or 8800gt before I'd see the SLI option, correct?

single 7900GS ->nothing
two 7900GS ->SLi option

I got Quad SLI with 2xGTX295 working on my Asus Maximus II Formula (Win7 64b booting with F8), but I'm getting better results in 3DMark06 with SLI disabled. I don't have a SLI Bridge that fits, could that be the cause, or am I limited by PCIe lanes on this board? Anyway, I can now run 4 instances of F@H without using dummy adapters, so I'm happy. Thanks!

Hitting F8 disables driver checking, are you hitting F8 only when installing the modded driver or every time you boot into win 7?

I don't know, but compared to this the certificate should be on a single line (wordwrap?). I'm also seeing a couple of "}}" instead of "})". I don't know what is correct, I just copied and pasted from here

Patch fools driver to think that we have X58 valid motherboard, regardless of real hardware. So, it almost 100% will work on any motherboard.

This looks so sweet. I'll have a second videocard for testing later this fall. Cant do it before i remove the scsi controller from second pci-e 16x slot.

hmm tried to set up die MSI 790FX-GD70 but got the same error discribed earlier in this thread by another user:

tried also the latest ASL-version, but still the same error. could it be an issue of the AM3-mainboard or the mainboard vendor? The "If" looks normal to me

the SLIC starts at line 11xxx, so it must be another problem.

The ones with issues should host their original DSDT dumps ( the initial .dsl file ) on RapidShare and provide a link here if you want to get any decent help
