Single Mod Pic-log: Adding mcr220 to Cosmos S Bottom

For this mod I used a sheetmetal nibbler and a dremel. Thanks to mnpctech for having the template available on your website.

Here i used a lightbox technique to align the template so I could drill the holes. I really should have drilled them first.

Making the holes for the rad screws.

    Wow.....

You left all the components in the case while cutting on it with a dremel?
Bill Cosby: Stewie, what do you think candy is made out of?
Stewie Griffin: Sunshine and farts! What the hell kind of question is that?!

LOL. I knew that was coming.

Yes I did. I did the majority of the cutting with the nibbler though. And I had a shopvac sucking from behind while I was cleaning up the edges with the dremel. It really didn't put out any dust. Then, when I was all done, I blew the case out with high pressure air to get all the remaining dust and nibbles out. I'm 100% confident I didn't miss anything.

    Thanks Arthur.

I've been itching to mod this case since I got it. This is the first time I got a chance to cut into her. Might not be the last.

nkresho are you crazy??? Be careful next time......If any dust touch any component you can damage something....

I am a little crazy, actually.

I knew the risk and was willing to take it, out of laziness.

Actually, I was really careful to make sure I didn't get any dust of fragments on the mobo. If I had been using the dremel to cut the whole thing, I would have had to break the whole thing down. in this case, it wasn't an issue though. Not to mention that I spent 5 mins or so blowing the inside out with a compressor afterwards.

I already posted my pics in the cosmos thread (second to last post). I'll have to update though, after I get my new cpu block to include it and this mod. I ordered a hk 3.0 yesterday.
