I wonder how much it is when it's released. My I7 will just be a hard crap if this CPU price is low than $500.

    maybe some gaming benchs :>

Also can you tell us what speed is it suppose to ship out in ??

What is the real vcore voltage can you tell because 1.2v is very very low.

    也许有游戏benchs:“

    另外,你能告诉我们什么速度是它想在出货??

    什么是真正的核心电压,因为,你能告诉1.2V的是非常非常低。

The i9 when released next year will have a price to go along with its power. At $999 when bought in quantities of a 1000, only Xtreme users with deep pockets will be able to afford one of these.

Oh I see. I totally forgot that i9's made for high-end users.

Going for extreme CPU like that is cool for extreme users like you said. I'm not that extreme, I think buying a dual-cpu mobo on LGA1366 later that would cost around $600 -$800(maybe) and another 920 to be using for workstation, plus memory. It's better and more valuable for workstation or server for ones who wants more performance in most calculation types for a computer, as long as applications or Operating Systems support for multi-task processing. I just think.

The 6 core / 12 thread monster being tested here is the one and only at the moment. I'm sure if Intel sees a market for a $500 6 core CPU sometime in the future then they will release an i9 junior. Intel has a habit of filling every segment and price point of the market with a choice of CPUs.

I just hope AMD's Thuban performs great and will be released earlier(Q3 when Gulfy is sched. Q1). It might lower Gulfy's pricing.
But for now, I don't know if it'll happen.

That's right Unclewebb, I now remember seeing an intel road map that has the i9 as the top tier replacement for the i975.

Still, this is a pretty large improvement. I would definitely go for this over 975, 960, 950, 940, 3540, 3550, 3580. I also bet the mid range i7s will take a price drop when i9 comes out.

OMG!! That Vantage score is unbelievable. I cannot imagine how much this will impact rendering. At $1k it might be worth it, but better start saving now.

The GigaByte EasyTune screen shot in post 91 (above) implies that the cores, both physical & logical, can be independently clocked with different ratios (Multipliers). I have not seen this within the current i7 tool sets. However, I am not fluent with Gigabyte... Does anyone have insight into this? Has this been announced as an i9 feature?

I'm going to assume that since it's showing a 19 multi and CPU-Z shows a range of 12-18 it's unlocked. But that's just a guess.

Maybe it's like an E8600 with a big multi for better overclocking, he doesn't seem to change the Multi on any of the different clock speeds, so maybe it's not unlocked
