    Lamptron FC-5 Fan Controller

It's a new release. 7 possible backlight colors on the LCD readout. Smaller Lamptron logo in white. Multifunction display allows user to select Farenheit or Celsius or Voltage. 3/4" aluminum CNC milled face. 4 channels.

Looks pretty spiffy to me. I'll know more when I get my hands on one.

The official MSRP for the FC-5 is $54.99

It looks like the pictures may have just been taken at an angle and you're just seeing the PCB.

the FC-2 blows with its PWMs

if this is different i'm all for it

but I got the fc2 and was dismayed by the awful buzzing of nearly every fan even some pwm ones

It looks good, with a lot of color choices, and with a higher wattage compared to Sentry 2.

Wow! It's really classy looking. Just in time for my new build, as long as they become available in the next month or so.

Lamtron makes the best switch based fan controllers but their last adjustable one blew, the fans were louder running at lower speeds then at full, and they made it 2mm too wide so you had to hammer it into the case (I chose not to use it instead)

Well I have only use the FC-3 http://www.lamptron.com/product.php?p_id=58

It works/fits fine on the AC Ryan Blackfires I put in this build...

BTW I purchased that FC-3 (not a freebie from Lamptron).

I had one for review, and I literally had to pound it in with the palm of my hand for it to slide into the case. It looked pretty cool, but just was a bit too big.

It is, and if you have a case where the drive bay is made with precise measurements like the Lian Li cases it will scrape up the inside as its pushed in.

$54.99 is a bit too steep, at least for me.

do you think you can run ddc 3.2's with these? since the pump is only 18w and each channel can do 30w, there should be no problems right?

I will be interested to see how it controls a pump. But I won't be able to report anything concrete until Lamptron releases me from the NDA.
