By addding the caps I did in this thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...threadid=31883) my max memory overclock for continuous load with no vmod has gone up at least 20mhz!! I'm at 365 with just 2.8v for over 12 hours so far

The Core is doing well, too, it can run 413mhz with 1.7v.

No more sacrificing mem speed for core speed!!

10v 500uf-1000uf Low ESR caps are recommended for the 9700np and 9700 Pro. I dont have a 9800/XT series card, but I expect they are very similar

what are you doing? higher voltage capable or higher capacitance? or just better brand ?

Sounds like you got more out of it than I did, but yes I would agree. It is a worthwhile mod. I got around 10Mhz on a 9500np with 3.3 Infineon which is damn good for that particular memory. Looks like this.

Yeah.

I figured out what I did to get 365 before... I was measuring vmem from the wrong point and was probably throwing 3.4 or so at the memory...
