    Bloodrage under water

Whats the highest 24/7 uncore and vcore volts that i can use ?? Also i'm currently using P06 .... is there any other bios i should try out ?

    Thanks for your help

    G25 BIOS.
vCore under 1,45v I'd say... Uncore depends on your RAM voltage.

Thank you my friend. Heard Uncore is fine up to 1.45 as well, and RAM 1.67 (i have dominators which are 1.65) ....... is this true for 24/7 ?
Dont want to blow my cpu, even though i think its a crap one as need 1.39v to have it stable @4.2MHz

Intel says limit is 1.55V .. and it depends on temperature. Max load that I can recommand is around 70°C .. some CPUīs have throttling issues after that. On other hand, my CPU doesnīt have issues even with 1.65V.. (ofc canīt say that about my cooling .

Uncore on air is safe up to 1.5V .. on water should be 1.7V .. thats what saaya told me some time ago.. Im pretty sure, that 1.5V is safe.. cause I run it for like two months.

Ram is limited by uncore. Mine donīt scale with voltage.. but with 0.3V difference = 1.8V. It undervolts slightly.. so its more like 1.75-79.

Yes, thats why I ended on my "low" value (still its like stock 965 XE . Plus it doesnīt eat that much..

Improvement between 3.2 - 4.2 is almost zero for basic PC use.

max safe volts always depend on the temps, not the cooling
thermaltake has watercooling gear as well you know but its far worse than most heatsinks hehe

id say 1.7v vtt and 1.7v vcore are probably fine 24/7 if you keep temps below 80C (of course you need chilled water or compressor cooling for such a high vcore with most chips )
if you want 100% completely safe then id say 1.5v vtt and 1.5v vcore at temps below 70C
at those settings you can probably run your rig for a decade without any problems...

Hehe.. TT "liquid cooling" is something like joke.. but ppl still buy it, and sometimes really regret it, for example that liquid is glykol based and tends to coagulate quite fast. Plus it changes color from nicely green to ugly "sh*t" brown.

But Im very sure that Oggie has some high quality WC stuff..

I guess Iīm lucky.. my CPU isnīt heated too much even on 1.65V on air.. plus its able to work up to 90-100°C .. And still perfectly working..

I wouldn't risk running the chip at 85°C+ for an extended period of time, you're risking chip degradation in the long term.

yeah... core i7 temps are higher than c2d and c2q though, the thermal probes are closer to the actual hostpots inside the cpu afaik.
    so 100C core i7 is equivalent to around 75C c2d/c2q i think.

but yes, i dont recommend to run the cpu at that temp for a long time... dropping vcore and clocks a bit to get to 80C shouldnt result in a performance drop that you actually notice

and yes, you are lucky, that cpu sounds like a very nice chip, low current draw, can take high volts... didnt you even reach 4.6 on air?
def a very nice chip... id trade in my 920 D0 that reaches 85C on water with 1.3v and 4.2ghz already any day!
i think with the stock heatsink i probably reach 90C load at stock speed stock vcore and 8 threads...
