    Enermax Apollish Fans

    Enermax Apollish Fans

Has anyone tried these out yet? Ive been keeping my eyes open for nice fans, and these certainly have cought my attention. I haven't seen these used in any rigs yet. Anyone know if they are good? or maybe a review of them has been done.

Thinking of getting them, any advice would be helpful. ty in advance

I have read that the enermax are pretty quiet. I have been looking at those and the magma line.

The led's can be turned off. there is a push button switch to turn only the LED's on and off, an absolutely amazing decision.... i wish they had them in white though....

Just got 5 those enermax apollish they looks awsome but i have a question ...

since the speed of those fans is controled via a thermal probe sensor specs says 700RPM@25C and 1700RPM@55C is there a way to bypass the thermal sensor so they can run at full speed all the time ?
right now they only run at 750 RPM @ room temp but i have fill up a cup of hot water & they crank up to 1650RPM if i cut the thermal probe and join both wire together do you think this will make thems running at full speed
or do i have to install a resistor to foul the temp built in ?

    thx !

If they use thermal resistor/probe (small resistor that looks like a LED) to control the fan speed, then you can wire the 2 pins of the resistor together and there you go, full speed at all times, unwire it and everything is back to normal. I've tried with my Nidec BETA V fan.

Saw them at a shop recently and they dont look half as bad as what they look like in the pics. Two if them behind the front grill of your case should look good.

Kinda easy MOD to do ..
You just cut the sensor probe wire and join boths wires together
then you send the Probe to Area 51 in case aliens still need it

    Hope it helps

Using their charts I have come up with a CFM/dollar on a few fans. It appears that the Tt Turbofan 12 and Scythe slip stream offer very good value. I got 2.31cfm/d on the Tt and 2.52cfm/d on the scythe. This is going off of their silent operation chart at 33dBA, not maximum CFM.

Appolish is pretty pathetic at .93cfm/d but the magma/cluster are a bit better at 1.13cfm/d.

Figure your own out if you want. I just divided cfm on their 33dBA chart by the price chart. I am trying to figure out how to graph 33dBA cfm/d chart and also have max cfm / dBA on the same chart.

You can use the red bracket and green blades or vice versa for a nice Christmas theme .

Anyway, saw these at my local Microcenter the other day and read a couple of reviews online. Seem like pretty decent fans, if I didn't already have 2 Enermax Magma's for my heatsink, then I would prolly get these.

I have been looking at the magma. How do they work on a HS? Are yours hooked up to a fan controller or are you just running at full speed?

I havn't gotten them fully running yet since I am still waiting for my RMA'd CPU to come back but I hooked em up to my PSU tester to run them to see how loud and how much air they push. They push quite a good amount of air, and they arn't too loud at all. I wouldn't agree w/ the rating they give it, probably more like 21-23dba at full speed, but still for the amount of air they are pushing its pretty good.

When I get a new CPU today for testing purposes, I am going to hook 2 of em up in a push/pull on my Megahalems cooler.

Also, the color scheme of the fans go nice w/ my R2E and Haf 932 case
