Im not concerned with the paper on the back piece. Its the ring that looks like an extra wide rubber band. Its like buying a Nissan GT-R and getting with a Sentra motor and Nissan saying well we were having people complain about speeding tickets so we decided to make some changes.

I told them people would hate that band if it were straw colored lol. To be fair, the one you have looks much thicker then normal and the protective paper on the acrylic mount adds some color. When filled it is not quite so noticeable, and of course is invisible when installed.

If you had to make some changes thats fine, thing I don't get is why your posting all these pics of a different res than the one currently being sold? Seems a bit dishonest to me.

That band would be clearly visible in my case there is clear plexi right above my current bay res so you can see through it from the front and top. If I recieved a res looking like that after seeing the pics you've posted i'd be upset as the product actually being sold looks a bit shoddy in comparison to the product you've been posting pics of.

Kind of glad I went ahead and got the XSPC res/dual DDC top. Just seems like a more mature product with a fill port, actual LED holes and the like. I'm sure the T3 functions well, just not as well thought out IMHO.

I actually grabbed that image from the link the Gentleman originally posted.

Also, it was people in this forum who complained about the Fesser One fluid that started the whole change...

I am not sure why the T3 shown in the picture has such a THICK band on it as that is not how they are supposed to look. There IS a straw colored band but it is not nearly so thick, and the thickness makes it a lot darker. So does the dark image maybe...though it IS really thick.

Nobody is trying to be dishonest. I will be on the phone with Brian in the morning and will let you know what is going on. Everyone relax lol.

Yeah, I have the white band and it will be visible from the top also. On a side note about performance, I have to say just from leak testing it seems to be the "Real Deal". I had a MCP355 with xspc top on my CPU loop and the fluid was moving, but nothing like my GPU loop which had the same setup, ask Bei Fei as he saw it and we figured the CPU loop was just much more restrictive. With this setup I am getting really, really good flow and actually seems to be equal between the two loops. I am disappointed by some of the cosmetic issues and I have already conveyed them to Boxgods in a PM, no need to discuss them here as they are minor and more nit picky than anything else. The LED port or lack of is something that could be fixed in a revision if it is important to you, the white band will get addressed I am sure as both Boxgods and Primochill are reputable folks here. So great performance so far in the leak testing which should translate into great performance when up and running, just need a little more emphasis on the details of the cosmetics.

Yeah well I can easily understand why someone would be peeved if they bought this item and it looked terrible. However, so long as it works ok, let's not get too harsh :S.

Those 2-piece LED fittings, can I buy them separately?

(or, those of you who bought the res and have no use for them, perhaps we can make a deal. Send me a PM).

FYI, if you are using the BP compression fittings with this you may want to add a thicker o-ring to the fitting. I am using 3/8" ID and 1/2" OD ones and I have a drip on one of them, so I will be draining and fixing that with a larger o-ring.

Eeek - I just realised something as I've been struck by a problem before with the XSPC dual-bay res/pump. Most devices that fit into a 5.25" bay have 2 sets of mounting holes, about 15mm apart vertically. The XSPC only had 1 set and the T3 seems to aswell. The problem with the XSPC was that it used the bottom of the 2 sets of holes, and my case's drive rails only work in the top set (Antec Titan 550 - I'd assume this applies to other Antec cases too). Which ones does the T3 use? I really really really hope it is the top. Also, why not include both? Bay reservoirs are the first things I've seen that only have one set - it can't add that much cost, can it?

This is probably obvious, but people do realize the paper comes off of the pump mounting plate, right? (note, not referring to Bei Fei, but others who might be casually reading this thread).

Agree the new bonding process distracts from the looks of the res, although it won't show at all in most configs. This is one of those darned if you do, darned if you don't things. People complained (and called "conspiracy") because the product wasn't covered for use with ethylene glycol - they fix that but add another wrinkle. I'm sure BoxGods will stay on it.

The paper does indeed come of the mounting plate, at least I hope it is meant to?
Only problem I have is that there appears to be some sort of bow or bend on the ver top edge of the face of the resrvoir when mounted in thew case.
Great job though, amazing piece of kit.
    Thanks BOXGODS

On the white band thing, mine has that as well, but I honestly didn't care since there in no way that is visible in my case. All you see is the front and if you are digging in there the back. The top, bottom, and sides are completely blocked.

So wait... Were allowed to use Feser ONE now without voiding our warranty?

I don't mind the rubber band thing much if it's not visible, but it would be nice to have it show in the product pictures aswell so people don't feel dissapointed finding out after their purchase.

funny story for you guys, i used some water wetter in my loop some odd years ago. within days my home made res was leaking and quickly falling apart. so i switched to a different bonding agent, same thing again. after using half a dozen different methods to keep the res together i gave up just used a t-line. well some 6 months later the barbs on my heatercores were leaking. 1 full inch of epoxy seal was eaten away by that stuff and that was the last straw. in addition it puts a nice purple film on all the tubes thats ugly as hell.

lesson learned, water wetter sucks, and a few spoons of antifreeze seems to be all i needed and havnt had an issue in over 2 years.

im interested in picking one of these up, but since i have an acrylic case, id like to see how that tape is looking first since it will be very visable

It looks to me like you are comparing a render to a real life pic. That is like comparing an air-brushed Playboy centerfold picture to a pic of the real model while she is grocery shopping.

I would expect the res to be clear where it is bonded. XSPC can do it!

also compare your to mine. My stripe is clearly tan opaque where yours is clear.
