1.So the problem is vcore vid recognition?

well thats all i can think of... but then again, this is utnorris right? he said the voltage actually changed on the fly... well thats normal, depending on the load the cpu will adjust the vcore unless you disable CxE...
I just tested and can confirm this. Voltage are flying if it isn't under load, but when you change from idle to load voltage went to what you had selected in bios.

The problem isn't about naming, it is about bios support... If it is working fine, I don't care about name... There is only two big problems about blackops, divider and wrong VTT (0,1v higher than it should be in bios)... And we are waiting for this too long... Also what about BR, Destroyer?? Too bad about this situation
yeah i know... and the vtt thing is ridiculous, one of the first things i ever asked to have changed when i joined foxconn

BR bios support is great imo... a bit slow, but it keeps getting improved... they definately gave up trying to push it as THE enthusiast board, but they still add new features that really help and fix stuff, so thats good... look at msis highend board, the msi eclipse plus... its coming out now, or a few weeks ago, and there is 1.... 1 single bios for it...

i havent followed asus and gigabytes bios release speed and how they fix stuff, but i think BR bios support has been pretty good. could have been better, but its good enough for sure, at least for me...

destroyer, yeah another one of those things where nothing seems to happen... i asked the responsible bios engineer to seperate northbridge and htt multipliers and it took me weeks to convince him that this is possible to begin with... he claimed its impossible without looking into it, obviouisly, as even asrock boards have those options available and seperate

sorry, i better stop, dont wanna rant

BO, BR and FB and in future IK are from the same bios engineer, and their bioses work very well imo and get updated frequently... except for BO... why... im not sure myself...
Well yeah, BIOS support isn't too bad, but there is some annoying things that SHOULD be fixed a long time ago... I just hope we can solve all these problems...

Also just saw video interview for Katana Inferno, looking good

It`s waste of time. It`s better to buy some new memory kits 2000 MHz. (1:4 strap 333MHz working fine).
Foxconn=good products with worst BIOS support ever seen .

This means that it is possible to improve performance, but they don't work on Blackops....

    BLACKOPS BUG

On 1:3,2 dividers DIMM1/DIMM2 works very well (up to 570mhz easy) , instead DIMM3/DIMM4 have a wall at 480/490..... It's impossible a dual channel configuration, or to use a only Ram stick on this SLOT.

    On the list

It would be good if foxconn is looking to fix this, but I doubt...

I spoke with a developer bios of Blackops. He told me that the last bios that has helped to develop was the G29. By developing this Bios was reported to Foxconn that in some circumstances the skew control of ram not working properly, but Foxconn has decided for the provision of the development of the BIOS ...
IS useless to wait any improvement ... Foxconn is important to only sell the mainboard and not to develop good products.
I remember to you that G29 was released in August 08, Blackops instead is out in stores from April 08..........

Rougequellovero i dont know were you get you informtion but it wrong
there will be more bios out with the fixes people want.

At the start the blackops was desigbn for the extream people who want this board at the start it did what they want and got world records
and as i've said a few time it not good for everyone else, but the extream overclockers loved the board and did what they want.

Dont ask when you get a new bios i can not say yet but you will get.

is unnecessary to take a ride. what has happened so far gives me reason, give me the facts right. is a year which is not scheduled a new bios.
How can you say that the overclocker love this card, when everyone uses only the rampage extreme because Blackops does not work with all the dividers?

Rougequellovero so why did the blackops get world records in the past
and if you look in the history as you seem to know so much then tell me who was the main maker of the board and what was his position in the overclocking and who were his friends that help get the bios to what they want.

if you know this then you understand why the board got to this state.

sorry i forgot you want a board to be a easy overclocking and dont want to work on it.
you have to play with the setting to get good results from it and most people who have are happy.

a lot of them people have now move to coreI7 so have drop the boards, a lot of drop 775 now so there you answer why they not with blackops.

Any way i dont care what you think, i will get a new bios made with a few fixes and updated microcodes as well
for this board and all the other.

BUt it taking time as the resources are small for the bios people and the the main one is working on the new P55 stuff
once he finished he will fix the other stuff

My biggest concern is whether the Bloodrage BIOS will support future 1366 CPUs from Intel, most notably the Gulftown. I really don't want to ditch my Bloodrage if/when I want to upgrade CPU. But so far I'm trucking around with a 920 @ 4.3GHz with HT on, with my OCZ Blades running 1644MHz with 6-6-6-16 timing

    Edit:

Here something I accomplished with my Bloodrage
    4.458GHz w. HT
