M4A79 Del as well 0921 chip

I am running Bios 1602, and although I passed 3 hours small FFTs at 3600MHz, Blend locks up the system in 3 seconds, and 3dVantage crashes after the first 2 tests. Blend runs fine with only two cores enabled.

I have tried adjusting CPU-NB and HT Link speeds up and down, adjusted voltage and right tried moving from auto acc to manual with default -2%, 0% and even +2%.

Highest I have gotten with AOD clocking the dual core was 4GHz.

    M4A78-E (BIOS: 1101)

Open method: BIOS Lane, ACC function Unleashing Mode under a number of options, the Unleashing Mode is set to Enable, you can open the 4 core CPU smoothly.

According to the source of the problem that there is no chance, but did not play because there can not be linked to guarantees for new users to purchase the above-mentioned PhenomII X2 550 motherboard with the user can try
    Athlon II X3 405e
    That means propus is out.
Can i ask for...... benches as well as power consumption data.
Are there more ways to love than to break a perfectly working computer?
    Don't think so.

Try setting ACC to +4, see if you can boot up, mine unlocks but this bios is buggy, run 3dmark06 as quad @3.8 scored in the 19800 ish, then other times I couldnt get the system to boot, just waiting on a newer bios to come out.

I just downgraded to 1403. OP needs to correct something, I can not find BIOS 1503 anywhere

1403 = dual core good ness. no quad.. will try +4 first but unleashing is not an option in this bios.

Will upgrade tback to 1602 and try +4 on that as well. I have vantage not 06 key, and that crashes with affinity error after 2nd test. (I assume first CPU test?)

If +4 does not fix it, than I will do what I bought this for, to try and get my aircooled 920 past 3700 3d stable

And as an aside, do what the 550 was bought for, a nice multiplier unlocked CPU for my foxconn a79a-s (of course I will try unlocking on that too).

I could just have a dud week 21 chip, but hey, it is the first amd dual core that got me to 4GHz, so I am not complaining AT ALL.

(Only found out about unlocking after I bought it )

It is wierd that I could pass 3 hours of small FFTs at 3600MHz quad core p95. But blend messes it up. That should point me to what the problem is but since everything works otherwise... I cant be sure. L1/L2 cache issues on other 2 cores?

    EDIT

    Holy crap!!!

Cleared futuremark cache and am running through CPU tests now!!!

Will have to try Blend stress next I guess. IF it fails I will check out HW monitor to check temps (been finger testing for now) IF it reads over 30 I will try out the tuniq tower I modded for my 920 (bolt through kit and increased fans (HS yate and panaflo)

    woo hoo!

An aside... ACC does not give me a per core option for some reason in bios... I mean I can set all cores and bios does not present an option to set it... maybe the bios flash did something... FxFxFx

No luck. Large and blend still pose problems.

As Dr Beckett would say "Ah Well, we gaive it a gud ruun, it'll make uh gud bennnch macheen"

    (running 3800 at 1.35vcore right now )

Yes, you have to use HWmonitor.

I believe the correct CPU temp is read under TMPIN0

    EDIT WOW

Lot of volts there though. I dont think I used that many to get to 4GHz with all 4...

    M4A78T-E (BIOS: 1304)

I can't find this version anywhere. Is it a typo? Do I need 1303?

Must be a typo. Someone before was talking about 1503 before (and there is not one of them either)

Have anyone been receiving HyperTransport Sync Flood Errors on these boards? This only happens after a cold boot. Prime95 and OCCT tests show stability if it has been booted without the power turning off ex: restart, or after the sync flood error has already occurred.

All settings are set to Auto with Unleashing Mode Enabled. The board i am currently using is M4A78T-E. The mobo does not show any problems if Unleashing Mode is disabled.

    Angry

Unleashing Mode won't work. I have been working two days with it, and reboot my computer about two hundred times. My Mobo is Asus M4A78-E and Bios version 1203.

    M4A79 Deluxe Bios 2101
    Download

    M4A79T Deluxe Bios 1604
    Download

Unleashing mode works much better now (always unlocks on coldboot)
There is also a new option to select if you want to activate all 4 or just 3 Cores if unlocking the Phenom II X2 550. You can even choose which cores to be used in "X3" mode (cores 0,1,2 or 0,1,3)
Even STR works now with unleahing enabled.

Still can't get my Phenom II X2 550 stable as X4, but works fine as X3 with 0,1,2 and 0,1,3 so it doesn't seem to be a cpu problem...
