Commiserations Angra your reign was long....you going to tell us how long you held the number 1 slot?

I honestly don't know how long it was! It was a long time. I have looked forward to being "beaten" for a long time. I always felt like as long as I was in the #1 slot, I was sort of obligated to give all I could, even when it was a hassle or inconvenient, or I could better use the resources elsewhere. I never did back down - I continued to use everything at my disposal that was available, and the new guys just were able to bring more. it's most excellent!

No commiseration at all is needed. I am really thrilled to pass the mantle, and for the team and the F@H project to have advanced so far from the contributions of DAK and others on the team. There really is no "losing" on this.

Overall production is falling off a bit this week, but there are still some very bright spots! Active folders climbed up 4% and we gratefully welcome our newest members to Team Xtreme! The user avg PPD has dropped off some but that's due somewhat to a larger denominator. We remain on track to climb into the worldwide top 20 within the next few weeks - AWESOME!

The amount of resources some of our team members are willing to put toward this cause is amazing. My hats off to you.

But there is someone else I would like to applaud and thank.

As I crawl through the ranks with my 6-8k a day PPD and I check the charts I pass people who have completed 3 - 20 times the number of WUs I have. 1300, 1100, 1800 even 6000. And I am always struck by their obvious dedication to this cause. How long does it take to turn in 1300 WUs for 200k points? 6000 for 240k?

I would like to recognize and applaud the dedicated team members who just keep on keeping on. I hope that since I do not see their names posting in the forums that they are lurking so they see this admiration to their dedication and thank you for being a part of the team.

To those wondering about my own drop off in production, as those of us with multiple space heaters can attest to, daily care and feeding is required to ensure optimal performance. That said, I've been out of town so I already saw one of mine shut down probably due to heat (1 less window open to exhaust heat in my absence) so that's why I'm creating a steep valley in the daily production graphs.

Not to worry, though, I'll be back Tuesday night to restore the Xtreme Production!

ive been out of the game for a bit. Im not as tech savy as you guys ad i cant figure out how to fix my SMP. It gives me a serious error after i set it up..it worked for a while then quit. Oh well, not a big deal. I need to get back on the band wagon...my output has been 2-3ppd. I need to hit 1 million. Man its taking forever

Do not feel this is the correct thread for this, but I guess an admin will move them eventually.

You could use VMPlayer to run the Linux Folding clients as mentioned in this thread. Best client for Core i7's

YMAA posted a great guide for setting them up.
Core i7 Folding - how to increase your PPD

Should work even though you do not have a Core i7.
