    TJ07 Drive cage mod

Using the original TJ07 harddrive cages I have suspended them on scythe hard drive2 rubber mounts giving me 6 vibration free well cooled drives.

    Outside:

    Scythe Hard Drive2:

    Inside:

I then modded the pc343 bays by bending them in slightly and drilling and tapping a fixing hole to look like this:

    And then fixed them in:

And made sure they fitted to make a clean flat look:

Hope you like it as its a very easy mod.

Looks very nice, do those covers have fan filters on the insides?

    looks great man

here's an idea though turn the bays around so you dont see the cables and put like a painted rad where the fans would be turned around

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion

The problem with cooling hard drives is you need lots of air passing over them so I had to go with a perforated look.

Thank you at present they do not but there is room to fit the original filter mesh in between the fans and the PC343 bays.

That is a really good idea! the only problem is my res /pump is mounted on the motherboard tray with millimetres to spare so it would not work well in the configuration.

But it would be good future mod, possibly with a rad in the roof as well.

I had the scythe drive bay in my tj-07 and decided to try this out. Fits really nice. Planning to turn it around backwards though when I re-do my PC so that you cant see the wires.

I'm also thinking of making a custom face plate to fit the front 5.25" bays ala Murdermod!

    awesome mate!!

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

What you have done is awesome, all of my drive bay covers have never served a purpose, it's nice to see someone use all that space for something truly unique! My soon to be retired TJ09 will be replaced with the TJ07, these's nothing else like it out there! If I had two words to describe the TJ07 it's Classy and Elegant! Now for the Bugatti, I want to hear that W16 cylinder engine roar!

Can anyone tell me if the Scythe 2 is a perfect fit with TJO7 standard hdd cage in the drive bay area or does it need to be modded in some way?
    ???????????
    thx
