    Project Overkill

well i made this before the site went down so i will post it again.

its basically done accept i am waiting on my D5 vario to get here to change out that nasty loud D4.

here is my rig up and running. i know its not purdy (well see all that rad is to me) but i'm after performance. i have ordered a D5 basic to replace that loud a** D4. petras is sold out so they upgraded me to the D5 Vario at no extra cost

    anyway on to pics!

    my specs are as follows

    CPU: Core2Quad q6600 G0 3.5GHz@1.4v (highest so far 4.2GHz)
    GPU: XFX 9800GTX @ 820/1220
    Ram: Samsung 4GB (4x1GB) 700MHz PC5300
    Mobo: EVGA-NF68-A1 680i (P32)
    PSU: Enermax Galaxy 850Watt DxX
    HDD: ST3250410AS, ST3250410AS, ST3500410AS, ST3500320AS
DVD: LG H26N,LG GH20LS10 both sata
    LCD: Samsung 32" LN32A450, Samsung 226BW 22" wide
    Sound: Logtiech Z 5500/Razor Barracuda HP-1 / AC-1
    CPU: Swiftech MCR320, MCP655-B, Dtek Fuzion V2, 6 high speed yates @ 5v
    GPU: Swiftech MCR320, Laing D4, MCW60 R2, 6 high speed yates @ 5v

made part of my mosfet heat sink. took about an hour getting it clear from other parts on the pcb. plus the first one i made was wrong, i traced the wrong side of the paper onto the heatsink.

i'm done making heatsinks for the card and will start looking into volt mods for it , should be enough cooling

    300 - 800 - 1500grit.

and for the most part it's done, i have a couple things left to do.

    and of course, temps

and the highest my cpu ever sees

well i got my D5 vario in and dropped the high pitched noise for some vibrations and about 1-2C(load) lower temps on the video card.

i think i will drain both loops and swap motors like i wanted to do originally so the cpu gets lower. i just didn't think that extra bit of flow would do anything.

    some pics

I like the loopy tubing in the black light, but I think you could have made it a little cleaner, and still kept your "over kill" name :P
