Great work guys
your verification link @ hwbot is wrong. links to a GTX 295 31k system result.

nice scores people! iam loving the new D0..! is this cpu handpicked, or did you get lucky?
NICE scores benchbrothers......
Is this CPU limited up to x23 multi or it can get higher multi as well?..
INTEL PWA FOR EVER

.........
Very nice results and impressive D0.
But you guys should not use the totally same setup and just change graphics cards to take top positions in HWbot. You can have all 3 in 3DM06 and 3DM05, so what is the point? More points to the team or what?
But, that is just my opinion
Good luck to the future events!
You are as good as your samples are!
any word on when the 4890 cards will be added to allow scores to be posted?

very nice skores..indeed
the D0 is rocking...wait for more

OK guys.. you pushed me over the edge
Next time when we use Helium, we will publish 3 top scores in single and dual card ranking in 05 and 06 and maybe in something else too. Wohoo! -- Got my point?
I said that there is no need to talk about ethics in hereWe would never do that, you can be sure about that.

I tend to agree with him personally.......although MSI max and myself are on same team, he used his hard drive and his install and a diff version of windows....... while I use my HD my install and my verions of windows.
We may use same board, cpu and ram for 3d, ( which we both have Identicals of ) but we have to tune diff for the diff version of windows ( xp versus win 7 ) etc the system is not identical hardware wise nor is it tuned identical nor are the vid cards the same model, or brand.....
IIRC we have only done this once. According to the rules this is not taboo?

On topic congrats on the record.

I waited two days to answer to this topic because I feel sad, I feel disappointed and I lost all the fun in this world record.
SF3D, I always enjoyed your threads and your scores. You are a very good overclocker and it’s always fun to read your posts. I enjoyed your thread and videos about liquid helium and I was happy that AMD did such a great job. I even wrote a news for a german hardware magazin about it. But this statement makes me sad – really sad.
Your world record was done with a cpu nobody could buy. Free multiplier, 6 mb l3-cache and socket AM3 – nobody could buy a cpu with these specs. Until yesterday. You owned a world record for more than two month and nobody could compete because such cpus weren’t available until yesterday – when X4 955 BE was launched.
You owned a world record in hwbot - a database for everyone to compete against each other. But nobody could compete with an AMD-setup due to non-available hardware. I had no problem with that - until now.
And you talk about ethics? That’s sad….
As all of you know our world record was done with 3x 4890-cards. ORB still doesn’t allow results to be published – k|ngp|n still holds number one spot in 2k6 HoF. Owner of these cards is masterchorch – since we participate in and follow the rules of hwbot we have to upload scores with 4890-cards to his account. Not to mention that masterchorch already had scores with 4890s in his account…..
Again: No entry in HoF for us. Hoschi owns two 4870X2-cards. With these cards we can have an regular entry in HoF – thats more important then having more hwboints. But rules of hwbot say that scores in 3d-benchmarks has to be uploaded to the account of gfx-owner – so we did. I already own 2x gtx 295 – if we would benchmark these cards again we had to upload all scores to my account. Maybe another global award.
All we did was to follow the rules of hwbot. Nothing more, nothing less.
By the way: If you guys have a look at both hwbot entries you will recognize that we did more than just changing graphic cards. Scores with 4870X2 are done with ln2 on cpu while our 4890-setup was cooled by cascade. So new mounting, new insulation – a tad more than just plugging in another gfx. But I think that doesn’t matter to you….
When talking about this topic it seemes that this will never be a “problem” until you have crazy luck and get a cpu like our xeon. You can do what we did in this particular case as often as you wants to – nobody will ever say something against. Everything starts when you get a lucky bustard and your hardware which you payd for could produce some impressive scores. Then you are the bad boy from one second to another.
I’m done with this topic. I lost all the fun …
Yes. You have a good points there and I apologize my rude style. It was not ment to be like that.
This offtopic converstion is a side effect from some talk about new rules. We have to consider implementing new rules to HWbot, cause almost every 3D benchmark is totally CPU limited. When you have a super CPU, you can dominate the race. That was the issue, but it is not your problem to think about.
So, the sum up is: Do not loose the fun. You did great job and that WR was well deserved. No problems on thatJust keep up the good work!
Now enjoy and forget this offtopic![]()
You are as good as your samples are!
Excellent spirit there Petri.![]()
