any mobos with ddr3 that can run this " feature " get a core for free, and even if speed is diminished, that will only affect in single core applications, cuz you have a 4 cpu instead of 3! genius! lol.

anyways, i see no mobo with ddr3 support or am i wrong?

for unlocking you need proper ACC implementation, and ACC only comes with SB750 equipped mobos

After reading countless threads, it seems that just about every 790FX/GX + SB750 board with AM2+ (DDR2) works fine, but no success reports from AM3 (DDR3) board owners. Hmm.

Excuse me, I accidentally said 780GX, the M3A78-T is a 790GX / SB750, and a no go here. I however, do not know the week on my CPU, I'll have the strip off the HSF to see, it seems this only works for CACZC stepping with 0904 week cpus.

it depends on BIOS and ACC implementation... eg. I've inserted X3 710 in my M3A79-T, and it doesn't giving me ACC option at all! With X3 720 BE it's there, and it does works...err... it unlocks CPU

oh yes. but i didn't prime it long. ran some 3dmark06 and been using it since without problems

Most phenom cant take over 2.2 vdimm if I am correct... DDR2 OR DDR3.
