    Great Batch!
    Thanks for the info guys!

Mine hit 4050mhz with ease, had no time to really test the CPU though, but looking good

so it will be fun to see what a Q9650 can, because it is not so hot

temp is to high whit QX9650@4.6GHZ /1.635v

Here is another run of 3DM06 and Cinebench R10 at 4446mhz at 1.45v, this chip is a keeper. My new 24/7 test speed is 4400 at 1.4v cpu, 333strap, .680v CPU GTL 0/2, .680v CPU GTL 1/3, 1.50v PLL, 1.40vFSB Term, 1.40vNB,.680vNB GTL, 2.38vDDR, 1.20vSB, Load-line enabled, both spectrums disabled, both clock skews on auto and running in performance mode. I am very happy with the results so far and this Teamgroup simply cranks on this P5Q deluxe, it can do 600 4-4-4-12 no problem at 2.45v. For someone not ready to jump to a i7 build this is certainly the chip to get. Deachus you are going to love that combo of hardware and good luck to you. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=10027709

I have tweaked and worked with my mobo and this cpu and the final 24/7 oc that I am comfortable with on this mobo is 4.05GHz. Do you think these chips have enough still to squeeze out of them to pick up a sub $200 P45 mobo and drop in and see how it does?

Of course it does. You only need a $100 UD3P

I was looking at the asus p5q, BIOSTAR TForce TP45D2-A7, or the foxcon p45a. Any recommendation among these or something else? I haven't used MSI for some time now because of a major issue in the past. I don't mind using gigabyte either. But also keep in mind that it has to be friendly with my 8GB of ram that is in my sig. I have decided since I am seeing very little difference between 1 4870 X2 and a quadfire of 2 4870 X2 cards, I am going to sell one off and buy a P45 with it. I am not looking to move to core i7 until much later in the year.

I recommend the Gigabyte ud3p p45; look through this thread a little and even check out the ud3p thread on here. It really does wonders with the 9650. Amazing really, especially for $100 or so.
But; i really see some nice results from the Asus-guys too,
FleshEatingVirus and deachus and some others have posted some impressive overclocks on asus boards also.

Yep. I realized after posting that you had recommended that mobo. Any issues with that motherboard and the GSkill ram in my sig?

Check out some of RaDaja's posts; that man has been doing wonders with multiple GsKillz stix for a while on a Ud3P
I mean how does 506 fsb @4,4,4,10 with 4x2gb gskills stable sound?

Nice chip - can the older boards (P35) run it OK? Can I expect a good OC on my P5KC?

Having trouble getting above 4.050Ghz with mine. Bought it during the 500$ price tag days so it's an early one. I can run 4.050Ghz but dropping my multi to 8 & even 6 at 500fsb doesn't work. Is it a CPU issue? like not getting enough voltages (1.344v for 4Ghz stable) or a Mobo issue (Maximus II Formula)

    I've tried all the way up to 1.4vcore, 1.6pll, 1.4 fsbt, 1.7v NB (using DDR2 1000 = solid - no errors @ 500 or 1000 by Memtest86+)

Using EK supreme n other custom H20 cooling parts...

What are the highest safe voltages to try ?

Both my 9550 and 9650 did pretty good on my P5K Prem with just over 4G solid so it should be fine. 529th your Nb and Pll are too high drop the Pll to 1.5 and NB to around 1.4 for starters. What board?

mreld3r,no problem thats why i posted it.and it been stolen from jor3lBr and repackaged by me so if you want to thank someone all credit should go to him.he is the master.with out his help and suggestions most of us would still be trying to reach the magic 4.0ghz.also thanks to napalm, nugzo, zodden stasio sparda, eletrasadist, but most of all PangingIII.without his help i most likely would have already thrown in the towel.by the way the 4-4-4-10 at 506x8.5 run im using my cellshocks pc8000's 4x1 4GB.i wish my g.skils could do 4-4-4-1- with 8gigs but they just wont run cas 4.any way

Thanks mate! Better then the last one, but the volts are still pretty high, although this is only test run trying to see if I can get 500FSB stable. Now I am going to mix things up and try for lower volts or higher clocks. At least my temps are not outrageous, 61C full load/small ftt's at 1.36vcore sounds decent for an air cooler right?

Well done. But I`m sure, your chip need less volts, like 1,200-1,250 to be stable at 500x8.

Hi ViViD, this was a test run. Ram was at 1000mhz/1:1 and PL10. GTL's were on auto, I only set the Vcore/VTT/NB and CPU PLL and some of those were probably high, I was just seeing if my board would run 500FSB. I am currently testing 455x9, 1.35vcore, CPU GTL 0.630, PLL 1.54, FSB 1.32, NB 1.32, NBGTL 0.660, SB 1.2- This might not be stable, we will have to see.

455x9, I hope I can lower the vcore some

    Ram: 1140mhz 1.9v/PL8
    Vcore: 1.3500
    GTL: 0.630
    GTL: 0.630
    PLL: 1.54
    FSB: 1.32
    NB: 1.32
    NBGTL: 0.660
    SB: 1.20

Edit: This run passed 2hr small ftt and 2hr OCCT Ram test. Time for a vcore drop or a FSB increase for a higher clock.
