    This looks very promising!

Consider a very good 8600 can hit 650FSB/6500Mhz... now apply 10.5 multi and you break 6.8Ghz!!

I wanted that at the release of E8xxx's and people made fun of me for being a dual core fanboy :p

That E8600 unlocked that was floating around earlier this fall slipped through my fingers by only a few minutes and I cry myself to sleep sometimes.

I think this thread is a repost. Anyways, so based on what you guys have been saying, most high clocks are limited by reaching high fsb? I thought it was mainly because the chip has limitations depending on how they are binned.

they are binned, but trust that e8700, e8600 are the cream of the crop while an E5200 is bottom of the barrel.

Yes, they are FSB limited. you know you can get about 650-700mhz FSB on these things... a 11 or 12x multi would make it nice for xteme oc'ers to do above 7ghz, and easy for air Oc'ers to hit 4.5ghz with an (easy) ~ 400mhz fsb.
    Bring... bring the amber lamps.
