for gtx295 to be at $500, it would seem like the logical pricepoint for GTX285 would be ~$300 (right?). But who can see that happening?

    http://www.netplus.com.au/products-d...LEGFGTX285-E01
    285:
    669 aud ($485 usd)

    http://www.netplus.com.au/products-d...LEGFGTX295-E01
    295:
    969 aud ($702 usd)

    4870x2: $730 aud

    special gfc prices

myself; i think 750-850aud for the 295 and ...about 550-650aud for the 285.
in reality though 295 will be priced more expensive than a 4870x2... imo.

    gtx 280 is 605$aud
    gtx 260+ is 424$aud

Look at back side, no memories ... PCB is the same like on 55nm GTX 260.

Prices in your shop are crazy.
Price update: Now available GTX 285 - 318 EUR or 452 USD. GTX 295 - 430 EUR or 610 USD. And i am living in very expensive country.

I bet non Asus cards will be about 50+ euro cheaper.

    Twintech GTX 285 @ 349 euro
    XFX/Gigabyte GTX 295 @ 499 euro

GTX 280 still above 400 euro
