Cotswolds are 10x better than London and far more romantic... ;-). Just think you can then do day trips into London, just a40 m40 and your there....plus open fire etc in the cottages...I am a country bumpkin though.

Oh I wasnt aware that youve met this one sorry, I must be thinking of the one you met in Wow or whatever that online game is.

Did you meet the domestic lass in WoW, or the American one?

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

I NEVER MET ANYONE IN WoW! I DONT PLAY WoW! I'VE NEVER PLAYED WoW! I WILL NEVER PLAY WoW!

Pam is from Florida and i've known her since 2004/5 when she was an exchange student at the same university as me. We've been very close for years, but recently it's developed into something more.

Amanda was from Louisiana, and while cute, turned out to be a little TOO obsessive about me which is the reason i called it off and settled for Pam.

For the first 24 years of my life, i ignored by women. Now? Drowning in fanny batter....

Silly question here, but in all seriousness, you dont think it could be becuase you inherited 500k is it, as youve made it public knowledge on here and women are known for being gold diggers. I would be careful if Im you as you are a nice guy and you dont want ppl taking advantage.

On a side note Im holding a wow tournament over xmas, thats also doubling as a meet new people gaming/dating session and I wondered if your interested at all.....

HSBC didnt transfer the funds to the G/F in time for her to book airfare and didn't transfer funds to the apartment owner. In addition, yesterday evening, when trying to book my Ryanair flight, my card had been flagged and i couldn't book it.

Now there are no more seats left on Ryanair.

HSBC are being a bunch of s, moaning about my 'account usage' being 'abnormal' - well, it's MY MONEY and i can DO WHAT I WANT WITH IT.

    Har-ing-har.

And no, i may have inherited over 500k, but Pam is no gold digger, that much i know. I was piss poor when we met and she liked me enough back then to want to date me had it not been for the twad she was dating at the time.

I'm clued up enough to know when they're after my wallet and not me.

I wasnt meaning this one is particular, I meant in general. JUst looking out for ya thats all.

Couldnt she have booked the flights herself and then you just given the cash when she arrived....

Alternatively why dont you fly out there, get her to book you a flight with the dollar you sent....then bring back some nice puter hardware cheap becuase of the exchange rate....BONUS.

Did she tell you that she could book flights the week before Xmas? 'Cos thats almost impossible. Now I don't travel to Yankeestan. But from others I've heard and from relatives and friends, if you want a flight, week before Xmas, you book a few months in advance. Becasue they are just all gone. Thast just a thought...

We were both looking at flight details - Delta Airlines from Orlando to LHR via Atlanta, GA - there are still a few seats available, and they're pretty cheap. I'm guessing because no-one has any money at the moment.

No point now, cause *I* can't get a flight to the UK and there would be no accommodation at the other end.

But i'll probably go over to the States in January to make up for it, and i shall indeed pick up cheap goodies

GRR! Last year i stayed in a hostel (self catering) in Shepherds Bush (5 mins from Ravenscourt Park) for a mere £350 a week and it was great! Simple, but great. Now of course, their website has been down for months, and i think they've gone out of business, leaving me with few alternatives.

I'm looking at spending £5000 just for f*cking christmas with the g/f

Does ANYONE know of somewhere thats less than £750 a week in or around central london that does self catering that looks halfway decent, rather than someones crappy flat that's had a makeover with half a tin of dulux and a throw rug?
wow... thats like 750 a week in US dollars. That's almost unlivable, especially for a hostel?
