Have you noticed Saaya's absence lately ?
I think he has started carrying the boards to the distributors himself

Don't know about shortly, but yes there will be some reviews soon.
According to Saaya the review samples should be on the way.

Hopefully mine will arrive this Monday, can't wait to start playing with it

there are watercooled cards available afaik, so one of those plus two regular gtx280 or 260 cards will do just fine in tripple sli
or you watercool all cards, then you can even use a 4th card for gpgpu physics PLUS tripple sli!
no other x58 board can do that
Doesn't this still not work since the back of the GTX 280 still takes up 2 spaces? It actually wouldn't attach to the case even with WC

You can get a single slot adapter

And I am def going to do tri-sli and dedicated physics

I'm not really sure how much space the blocks take up though. If I get
something fairly slim like a Koolance VID-428 I would need something like

    Bitspower Premium Mini D-Plug Set
    http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=24677

for those side-by-side slots. But I'm not even sure if that's short enough, anyone know?

    Koolance Dual VID Connect Nozzle
    With a single slot bypass
    http://www.koolance.com/water-coolin...product_id=400
    for the triple slot something

    Patience is a virtue.
If you have another computer that you can use, you should wait.
If time is crucial then go ahead.
But if I had the time to wait, I'd wait to see all the new boards reviewed & then take a decision.

It has been released in Akihabara a couple of days ago.

    http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/akiba...bloodrage.html

The price is extremely cheap, I can't believe it 27,800 JPY is nothing.

So I think the availability would be worldwide really soon.

    More details about the shop:
    http://www.dospara.co.jp/5goods_part...1&sbr=483&lf=0

For info they had a model presentation when i7 was released in Japan. This is the only shop who has it here.

This shop also sell computer for english speakers so if you drop by Tokyo please go check there.

Please note that the Asus is 40% more expensive!!! That's crazy!

Confirmed as I live in Japan. My wife called the store a few days ago and they are already sold out. They only received 2 units. Wonder if it was like a presale that Foxconn sent out quickly before the main shipment gets here so they can say it was on sale earlier. I'm calling the store daily for updates!
