Post 5Ghz air done Core i7 Extreme

Francois from Intel came to Las Vegas for a few days to play on the Cascade with some good chips as well as go over current known issues. Testing the setup on air we wanted to see what the first chip out would do.

    Cherry chip, Core i7 Extreme
    Intel DX58SO Smackover 403
    Thermaltake 120 w/ two fans
    1.47vcore
    70c on all cores
    4 cores / threads enabled
Recorded in HD - video soon

This chips max frequency was 5.7Ghz on the triple stage @ -100c

Done Thanksgiving day, many thanks Intel.

Wow that was quick. I like a man who keeps his words; 6Ghz should be a walk in the park.

    F*ck!
5.7GHz i7 will be more than good enough for some serious AquaMark 3 & 3D Mark06 damage.
    Show us some numbers Charles!

Holy that's insane. But isn't over 1.4 vcore bad for the 45 mm chips?
