I suggest you check out the vids in that link posted above. Quite impressive to say the least. I have yet to see a simple comp pump act like the biggest powerhead I've ever had in any of my tanks for comparison.

I have and...that flow looks weak to me, almost looks like my CSP-Mag when I tested them.

really? In a 5 gallon bucket I used to have my largest powerhead & it was quite similar if memory serves me right. Ah well it looks like a good product to me. Maybe someone should run some tests on it & then we'll know for sure eh? I think Skinee is going to be soon.

What really matter is head pressure and I don't see data about that. What's the point of doubling flowrate if head pressure suffer a lot ?

Take your time, better to have a belated valid result over a rushed invalid result

According to Dryadsoul the Detroit D5 doubles the GPM over stock!!

If I see some more results like that, I might have to put my EK's up for sale...
He also followed that post with a large disclaimer saying his tests were incorrect.

I would not go by those tests. In fact I went ahead and deleted my original thread pimping the blocks. It's on you now skinnee

Anyone thats willing to put in the time to test stuff out is better person than me. Ive been following this for awhile now and wanted to see any concrete proof as the EK V1 top just seems to be marginally better than stock.

Thats what I'm afraid of! I'm hoping this flow increase doesn't kill the flow pressure

Sorry if this has been asked but I haven't seen it.

Their is no reason this wouldn't work on a D4/650 right? The only difference is the lack of variable speed right so it should be as good as a 655 at full speed right?

It'll work... I haven't had a chance to do up a curve for the D4 with Detroit top, though.

Petra, I think you just sold 4+ pumps Thanks.

Edit: Ordered, will be looking to get some tops soon now see what difference I see between that and my ultra high pressure AC Iwaki.

I just recieved my New Top from DetroitAC and I have to say the quality is great, I love the compactness of it too, I cant wait to test it tomorrow
I will let you all know what I think as I also have the X-top from EK so far from looks I prefer DetroitAC's top, its small compact and looks very professional with how it connect to the actual pump
Well done DetroitAC I love it so far

Yeh I was VERY shocked to see it at my door today, but I dare say I will be hitting you up for another top! I can fit 2 pumps in now so I will run dual loops
