NCIX FTW!!! I got my card from the same place. Prices slightly better than NewEgg and no taxes.

Looking forward to you installing that EK block.

My new shop will open soon. I won't accept anything but BlueAqua bucks. I have a Microcenter in my basement.

I felt obligated to stick that 8800gt in there, it was feeling left out.

I need to get some new lighting to highlight the pictures better. Time to work on that, but hopefully everyone will see the pictures improving throughout this thread. That's a side goal anyways.

You have a terrific build, a build that's really interesting to watch it develop. Don't hesitate to ask me a question about anything. I learned so much when I did the phase/water build, it was a huge challenge.

Thanks. I sent you a full image, let me know if you want the raw image.

Yeah I am really impressed with NCIX. Considering I ordered it on Friday and got it Monday is just crazy. I think I'll shop there more often, plus I don't mind supporting a store with a great guy like Linus working for them. I appreciate his involvement in this forum.

I was going to install the block, but I got busy with other things and messing with my new htpc board. Here

Its true...I've seen it! And BlueAqua bucks look better and more anti-counterfeiting measure than Euro's.

And today I mount the 4870 X2 Ek Waterblock.

    Naked 4870 X2:

This poor video card looks like it's going to get mounted by the block.

I should have more pictures of it mounted shortly.

Mounted and tested to be fully operational.

I had no issues with mounting this block. The pcb is still nice and straight.

I have one but for some reason not impressed in the least by it so I traded it for a nip 8800GTX, water cooling gear & a couple Raptors for now. I'll SLI a coule of GTX,s till the 280's drop abit in price.

Actually i'm not kidding. I wasn't impressed by it so I dumped it. I'll use the 8800GTX for now till I get a deal on a 280GTX.

That block is scweet just as it is. I like that look. Check out these washers. You can get them at Home Depot. I used the #4's for my last set of EK Blocks.

Hey ShoNuff, thanks for the input. I think I'll go looking for some. I wonder if they come in black.

Things are really coming together nicely. Maybe next weekend I'll have something really special to show everyone.

Thanks. For some reason the pictures were not coming out just right. I had the white balance off, doh.

    I'm using a Canon 30d with a Canon 28-135mm IS kit lens.

I went to Home Depot and bought some washers. I thought they would work great, they're fiber washers but the inner diameter was just a tad too small. Back to Home Depot I go tomorrow.

Here are the ones I bought:

A nice little background for my new phone:

The Ek block went on straight as an arrow:

New washer update! It's a lame update but I think it adds some value.
