Looks good for a first entry into the market. From what we've seen it looks like OCZ have done their research and this block should be a solid performer. I'm looking forward to some testing as always...![]()
I'd be willing to give it a run but i'm not well known here. What about NaeKuh?
The pump isn't doing to be another rebranded DDC or D5 I hope.
Martin, mcoffey, and nikhsub1 are definitely my first choices for testing.

Thanks BA!
Tony, I would be honored to run a round of tests on this block. I have the test bench prepped for some NB/SB block tests, but could easily switch over for CPU block testing right away. And yes, the dog in the avatar supervises all tests for repeatability.
PM on its way.
Yeah thanks Sig but I've still not finished the GTZ... been uber busy with work, this is a good thing though. Sadly my tinkering days are fading into a distant memory as my time gets eaten up with other things![]()

Skinnee,
Are you sure you've paid up your country club initiation fees yet? That golf cart that was provided to you has just three wheels for now![]()

I nominate Andy, Skinnee, and niksub1...they will do an awesome job if they have the time.
I already feel like such a pimp with all these blocks..it's really not fair that I am so fortunate to have the samples I already do have.
If there are not enough reviewers though... I would be honored to try it...

IMHO, the EK Supreme, Apogee GTZ, and the FuZion V2 will still dominate the high-end section.![]()

If I were a manufacturer, there is no way in hell I would allow my product to be sent to a bunch of enthusiasts in a forum. For a manufacturer, there is zero upside. Only downside risk.
Tt never has to worry about what a couple of geeks in some forum think about its products.

Its just common business sense. Doesn't require any degrees to figure that out.
I only play Blackjack in a casino because that's the only game where I can control the odds.
There is no way in hell I'm sending out my baby, my new product, my hard work, to a bunch of forum geeks where I have zero control over what they say. Otherwise, I would be dangling a whole bunch of "carrots." Its rather easy to corrupt people these days, and its relatively inexpensive to do so.
Hahaha... I would be taking down credit card numbers pending the return of the blocks lol

As usual, you have a point IanY.
I agree it's a risk that doesn't necessarily make sense. But who are we to complain?
And IIRC, haven't some of Martin's tests been linked to or at least referenced from a few retailers?
Guys
Im thinking of taking Martin and Andyc up on the offer of testing. After doing some reading both are well respected and have done block reviews before so have a good data base to compare to.
My reasoning for asking for 2 reviews here on XS was this:
forum reviewers are usually much more thorough than site reviewers, especially when all they do is watercooling or memory etc. End users can chat back at them, the info flows in real time (bar the stupid questions you get) so we should see a good discussion along side some good testing.
Having 2 people also allows me to compare results, I run 4 blocks here 8 hrs a day but I have 1x 240V 90W pump with 30ft of head pressure and a 14gallon res feeding the loop so i am used to seeing results without a DDC or a D5 and a 120.3 etc. I also get to see if there are any mounting issues etc, and gain valuable feedback that i can push into the BOM for order no2.
As mentioned earlier i have hundreds of blocks in the first order just about to ship, there is a small issue regarding adding 4x2mm thick washers for those who will use the universal backplate (AMD boys) and then its good to go.
Andyc and Martin, i will do my best to get these blocks to you shipping tomorrow or Thursday, i have some paperwork to get together for UPS and then they can go. All I ask is any issues you report to me so i have at least a chance of sorting them and you are honest with your testing.
Thanks guys

Thanks!
I'll get it tested and reviewed ASAP....![]()
Welcome to water cooling OCZ. If their dedication to memory performance is any indication to the dedication to water cooling I think we will have a new viable player. Granted, when it comes to water cooling almost all the well known brands, Swiftech, EK, etc, all perform within a few degrees of each other and as Tony has stated, they are not out to get the "Performance" crown, but rather want to make a name for themselves in water cooling. My hat off to you Tony and your team. I look forward to seeing the results of the testing and wish you good luck in a very competitive business.

After I get this tested, I'm sending it to Skinee for a work over.
Alot of people have sent me parts to test for the good of the forum and testing community, I want to do the same..
Cheers to testing....![]()
