Can it do that on an X48 with the 1:2 divider?![]()
old x38 screen , http://www.pt1t.net/DDR3/Everest_500X8_1_2_CL2.PNG
and other x38 , http://www.pt1t.net/P5E3DLX/P5E3_500...L7_Everest.PNG
same vdimm of 2.1v
i tested also 3:5 > 1900 6-6-6- on EP45tExtreme , and it crashed like on X38 board![]()

2000 is easy, 2200 is impossible. And note that your read bandwidth is so much higher at only a 500MHz FSB on X38.
Chances are the 3:5 divider on this board is actually a 2:3, and your ram speed is 900, and not 1000.
Edit: I'm aware it doesn't clock goofy high with CAS 6. However 1100 CAS 7 is impossible. (For the record I have sticks that do that as well on this board, but on anything else will do "only" 1030 or so)
Nosferatu, if you can still scope this board, this would be a very good situation to test.

Yep, there is something really odd about the 3:5 divider.
@ 1:2 1000Mhz cas 7 is very hard work with these sticks.
@ 3:5 cas 6 I max out around 860Mhz
But on the 3:5 divider cas 7 @ 674fsb it will screen 1123Mhz (DDR3 2246)

When I get time later today, I'll be trying the 3:5 divider on my P5Q3 to see what that does.
Hey mate, nice to hear from you...and thanks
Thanks

Grabbed new BIOS, will test it later tonight. Was having terrible problems last night going above DDR3-1800 with F3E, hoping F3I will let me drop some nice numbers.
Any other changes in this F3i bios?

Still cant seem to get the board much over 600FSB without it locking.

I can do 650fsb on that board, so it's not that holding it back.
Hi, Bros,
3:5 400mhz Strap of all intel chipset is incorrect. due to chipset divider limit
for other strap (200/266/333) 3:5 runs correct ratio & frequency.
3:5 400 Strap should be 2:3, not 3:5
if you are running 600Fsb and chosen divider of 3:5 400 Strap
Frequency of memory is 900mhz(DDR3-1800), if 650FSB,mem is 975mhz

Thanks for the confirmation hicookie. I quoted you and put this in a separate thread so it gets noticed.
Heh, needs to be fixed ASAP!

Theres more in it, just got to work out the right combo.
dunno how your pushing that fsb, on older bios i was able to push 640ish fsb on my 730+fsb chip, but on this bios im struggling to get into windows at like 580...
I have only managed to get 620MHz FSB with my board. 625MHz is max to post but it freezes.
someone got vdroop mod for this board, could be nice for 3d06 single?
