the command line of the client should be something like this
"C:\FAH SMP\Folding@home-Win32-x86.exe" -smp -forceasm -verbosity 9
without the -smp in there it won't run in SMP mode. Also, just run one client if you are on a dual core.

Look at step 14 and 15

edit: actually look at the whole thing it's very well written.
It doesn't like the -smp flag.
"C:\Documents and Settings\CMarks\My Documents\F@Hcore0\FAH504-Console.exe" -smp -forceasm -verbosity 9
That's why my tag looks like. When I open it it says "Bad Argument: -smp"

oh you have the really old single core client, that's why! 5.04 is for the single core client only.
I had an EUE on my SMP today, at 87%I wondered why my pointage seemed so low today. Really odd, haven't had one of those in a long time. Maybe it is stanford telling me to shut down the old SMP client and upgrade to the 6.22 already?

Ok, new client is installed with new tags. I have four FAHcore_a1.exe's running maxing out my C2D...I'm guessing that's normal?
It's working on project 3062...we shall see what my PPD goes to now.
Thanks for the help guys!
Rivatuner doesn't show the GPU usage and it's reading the fan speed wrong so i'm using GPU-Z for that. Do you guys know any other program that can record GPU usage? So far i'm loving it, my CPU is between 5-15%. The first WU had an error so i backed off my OC and the current WU is at 10%![]()

My e7100 was doing ~600ppd.
But now I'm getting this weird error.![]()
hey looney, if you have any issues, just post the error and we will help you out I bet ya![]()
I know I already answerd![]()
Posting the entire log file in code tags will be a good thing though. And change your shortcut to include the -verbosity 9 argument and run the client again, this flag will ensure more information get's printed in the logfile( btw please only respond there cuz while I'm atm just as quilty about double posting in dual threads, I really don't like it

As you guys can see from my PPD, I have given up until Stanford gets all this straightened out. 3 of my quads are down again and I don't have the time to play with them.![]()
Twiggy use the drop in extend grace period 5.91 or 5.92 and the isue about a stall when not attending the clients goes away
I know PG could handle this better, but I'm sure I can help you use that route to stay folding
In the end, I can do more good with trying to keep you folding then trying to outproduce you
What ya say, take me up on the challenge? If I can't make it atleast fold on after eue's and that way ensure productivity, I'll fold under your name for a month
Edit:

I'll ask Riptide to put this in the stickies as wellWith the public beta release of the v6.22 SMP client, we encourage all our beta users to upgrade to that client. However, since the 5.91/5.92 beta expiration date is rapidly approaching, we have decided to extend those clients to allow users more time to upgrade (and to give us a little more time to work out the issues that invariably come up during public beta testing). Testing always uncovers bugs, which is why we do it.
So...
Drop-in binary replacements for 5.91 and 5.92 beta clients are available at:
http://www.stanford.edu/~kasson/folding ... MP-591.exe
http://www.stanford.edu/~kasson/folding ... MP-592.exe
These expire on 11-02-2008. However, 5.91/5.92 lack necessary features to support the new SMP cores we have in development. Depending on the core release and migration schedule, SMP A1 work units may not be available for the entirety of this three-month period. The extension of 5.91/5.92 is intended to ease the transition process to 6.22 rather than replace it entirely.
Thanks for testing!

Yeah the high maintenance wouldn't usually be a problem for me but my father in law is running for judge here. So with his campaign going, I have absolutely zero free time and when I get free time I try to be lazy/sleep, eat, and spend time with my kid. LOL its rough times around here.![]()
great news... after nuking the work folder and queue.dat it finished a 2665 no problem today. Something was botched someplace but it seems to be working now.

2665 still not done here, forgot to up the oc
But it hasn't eue'd on me, so that's good
Twiggy, like I said the replacements exe's I posted fix this stall issue for when you aren't attending your clients closely, it has a 3 month extended grace period so realisticly after you dropped them in you can rest easilly for the coming time. PG dropped the ball but it's fixed to the extend they could I suppose. Haven't seen problems with the 5.9x\s atleast![]()
