Yes, 1.28vcore is the lowest vcore achieved for 3.6 prime stable.

It's just the dfi board + gtl settings fine tune and a good batch q6600. When the GTL settings are in AUTO I would never get results near that. So is something that many ppl hate (too complicated) but can result is lower voltages and stable system if you have the patience.

I must have the worst piece of this batch (L745A)

    1.325 VID, 1.5V @ 3600

Haven't tweak GTLs, but I think that would be worthless given the starting point.

I have run my Q6600 @ 1.28vcore @ 3.6GHz and I don't even change any GTL settings. Many cause IDK what they do etc.

If anyone could plz explain or link me to a guide that does.

Have you tried to run Prime95 on 4 cores for 10hours?

I'm talking about 8hrs Prime95 stable at that voltage not SuperPi... SuperPi means nothing.

Nah i don't want to run at 3.6GHz for 24/7 but i'm think it would work.

BTW yeah i know Super PI doesn't mean anything, i just run it to show what kind of performace i was getting.

OCCT stable in my system does not mean Prime95 stable. Try running at least 1h of Prime95 with the same settings. That would be stable

I was doing Prime95 b4 I found OCCT and I prefer OCCT since it finds error faster than Prime95. My system can be stable for Prime95 in about 4 hours but it fails OCCT after couple mins. As you can see here I had my CPU at 3.4Ghz running both Prime95 and OCCT stable.

@whe3ls: I ran OCCT for 1 hour and real temp by default set TJMax to 95.

Yours has a lower VID that mine so it's understandable to know why you need less voltage to get up to 3.6Ghz. The lowest I can try on my Q6600 at 3.6Ghz is about 1.35V and it's not stable.

    Picked up this L745A from someone here. 3.6 @ 1.328v, 3.825 @ 1.44v. Supposedly was doing 4.0 @ ~1.5v. Very happy with the results!

I don't know about him but mine (same board as you and with my q6600) @ 3.840ghz (480fsb @ 8x 1.480vcore) VTT=1.56, PLL=1.6, NB=1.26 and GTL 0/2,1/3=0.675 (I think auto is okay too) just to get it fully prime stable (blend, small FFTs). Hope this help, good luck!

While you guys are talking about the min. voltage, I have a question that I am sure has been asked 1000 times before. I just can't find it using the search function:

What is the max vcore (as seen in windows) that you would run this cpu at 24/7 under water.

My q6600 does 3.8ghz at 1.55V under load and doesn't pass 65C. I plan on improving my water cooling setup soon.
